About Mineplex
Mineplex is a fast-moving Minecraft minigame network built around short matches, team battles and competitive challenges. Players can jump between games such as Champions, Super Smash Mobs, Minestrike, Block Hunt, Cake Wars and Speed Builders.
What Makes It Different
Mineplex combines the feel of a classic 2010s minigame server with a new rebuild for modern Minecraft. Old favorites return beside newer versions, fresh maps and cross-play modes.
Minigames are compact Minecraft games with their own rules, objective, and bounded play area, usually resolved in a single round.
The server is fundamentally a multi-game Minecraft network.
Competitive Minecraft gameplay centers on outperforming other players in contests with a clear winner, score, or relative result.
Match wins, tournaments, ranked play and game-specific skill are central to the network.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Several central games focus on direct combat, kits, weapons or team battles.
Use the lobby NPCs or the compass to browse available games, maps and player counts. Parties let friends queue together, while Mineplex Player Servers let eligible players choose a game, map and invited players for a private session.
Players progress through individual games, kits, achievements, stats and cosmetic unlocks. Gems support in-game purchases and bonuses, while ranks add larger parties, extra cosmetics, priority access and other network features.
Custom kits, abilities, maps, game rules, cosmetics and resource-pack features shape the experience. Modern releases add new blocks and quality-of-life changes, while legacy games are rebuilt for newer versions and cross-play.
The network is built around themed lobbies, matchmaking areas and dedicated game maps. Players travel between short competitive matches rather than developing one shared survival world.
PvP ranges from kit-based combat in Champions and mob abilities in Super Smash Mobs to guns in Minestrike, team fights in Cake Wars, shrinking battlefields in Micro Battle and objective combat in Clans.
Mineplex uses Gems for in-game unlocks and progression-related purchases. Crystals are sold through the web store and can be used in the in-game store. The network is not a persistent survival economy server.
Mineplex runs tournaments, game nights, hangouts, karaoke sessions and community challenges. Hype Train Whistles can spotlight a game, and Brawl events remix older games with temporary rules and unusual challenges.
The network has an official Discord, forums, in-game parties and player communities. Players can suggest changes, submit maps, join tournaments and build projects using the Mineplex API.
Hacking, unfair modifications, macros, bug abuse, stat boosting, sabotage, scams, harassment, hate speech and inappropriate content are prohibited. Player reports, staff reports and punishment appeals are available through the support system.
The store sells Crystals, one-time Elite and Mythic ranks, and recurring Celestial and Divine ranks. Perks include cosmetics, party-size increases, priority access, gem bonuses, monthly chests and Mineplex Player Server access.

History of Mineplex
Mineplex was founded on January 24, 2013, by Gregory Bylos and Jarred van de Voort. From the beginning, it centered on turning Minecraft into a hub for quick, replayable multiplayer games rather than one permanent survival world.
Over the following decade, Mineplex developed its identity around a broad collection of competitive and social game experiences. Its network model made short matches, repeat play and community activity central to the server's history.
Mineplex also became one of the early official server partners for Minecraft Bedrock multiplayer. This expanded its reach beyond Java and established a history across both major Minecraft editions.
After about ten years of operation, the original Mineplex network shut down in May 2023. The shutdown marked the end of its first major era and was followed by a company restructure.
Rather than immediately relaunching the game servers, Mineplex Studios announced Mineplex Studio. The organization then moved through a period focused on its next direction before the network itself returned.
In 2026, Mineplex came back under a revived operating team and entered an active launch and development phase in June. The revival brought back or released current versions of Minestrike, Speed Builders, Block Hunt and Clans during June and July.
The revived server continues to build its identity through both gameplay and community programming. Tournaments, game nights and hangouts accompany the returning games, while Brawl is planned as a rotating weekend format for remixed legacy games.
Today, Mineplex is an actively developing revived network supported by owners, administrators, developers, moderators, trainees, builders, quality assurance staff and event teams. Its current identity connects the quick multiplayer focus of its original era with a new phase of releases and community events.
