EnglishAbout Midpoint
Midpoint is a persistent semi-vanilla SMP where the world is meant to stay put. Players establish bases, protect them with claim blocks, travel without routine /home or /tpa shortcuts, and trade through player-run shops. A separate resource world handles heavy gathering while the permanent main map preserves builds, secrets, and community history.
What Makes It Different
Travel and permanence matter more here than on a convenience-heavy SMP. Normal play does not include /home, /tpa, or /warp, and the main map is intended never to reset. Hidden puzzles, structures, items, and custom music discs add discovery without turning the server into a heavily modded experience.
Semi-Vanilla servers keep Minecraft’s ordinary survival progression while adding a limited set of server-specific changes around it.
The server preserves ordinary Minecraft survival progression while adding claims, shops, death chests, and discovery systems.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The main survival map is intended never to reset, preserving player builds, roads, farms, landmarks, and community history.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
Players create villager-based shops, set prices, and sell gathered or crafted goods directly to other players.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Midpoint is explicitly a multiplayer survival world where players build, explore, trade, and progress together.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Gathering, crafting, building, exploration, gear improvement, and hostile-mob survival form the core experience.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Players use claim blocks to protect bases, farms, storage, and other areas from unwanted modification.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Players earn value by gathering or crafting goods, then trade and sell them through a player-driven economy.
Midpoint uses default vanilla world generation and Hard difficulty, with a small set of server-side systems around ordinary survival. Claim blocks protect player areas, death chests temporarily preserve items after death, and a resource world gives players a safer place to gather materials without stripping the permanent main map.
Progression is largely self-directed. Players improve their gear, bases, farms, shops, and community builds rather than climbing a rank ladder or following an mcMMO-style skill system. Exploration and discovery also matter because the world contains hidden puzzles, structures, and special items.
Server-side additions include claim blocks, timed death chests, hidden puzzles, custom discoveries, and unique music discs that do not require a resource pack. The server keeps the normal Minecraft client experience while adding practical protection and exploration systems.
The main world is designed as a permanent survival map rather than a seasonal reset. Player builds, roads, farms, and landmarks are intended to remain in place, while a separate resource world provides renewable gathering space and helps reduce damage to the long-term map.
PvP is available but can be disabled with the server's PvP toggle. Players who keep PvP disabled cannot be attacked, while the rules prohibit harassment, spawn killing, cheating, and other forms of abusive combat behavior.
The economy is player-driven. Players can trade freely, create shops with villagers, sell gathered or crafted goods, and set their own prices. The server does not impose broad trade restrictions, so useful resources can circulate directly between players.
The community is centered around the Minecraft server and its Discord, which is used for updates, screenshots, support, and player discussion. The atmosphere is small-scale and informal, with staff handling reports and helping players through tickets and community channels.
Players may not use hacks, unfair macros, duplication exploits, x-ray tools, lag machines, or prohibited automation. Griefing and stealing are forbidden, large destructive mining should be done in the resource world, and oversized farms or chunk loaders can be restricted when they harm server performance. Players must keep chat in English, avoid harassment and offensive builds, respect staff, and ask before claiming abandoned items or builds.
Support is cosmetic rather than pay-to-win. A one-time donation of at least $2.99 grants a permanent Donor status with a cosmetic D prefix and Discord role. Contributor status costs $5 per month, grants a cosmetic C prefix and Discord role, and falls back to Donor status when it expires. Gameplay and mechanical features are not locked behind donations.
A separate world is reserved for resource gathering, keeping intensive mining or harvesting away from another world.
Midpoint provides a separate resource world for heavy gathering, helping preserve the permanent main map from excessive extraction.
Limited teleportation restricts unrestricted instant travel and makes routes, transport points, or physical journeys important to world navigation.
Midpoint omits ordinary /home, /tpa, and /warp shortcuts; new players can use /rtp for limited initial travel assistance.
Death chests preserve a defeated player's dropped belongings in a recoverable container after death.
After death, Midpoint preserves the player's dropped items in a death chest for 25 minutes before recovery expires.
A PvP toggle lets players change whether they participate in player-versus-player combat within a shared survival world.
Midpoint lets players disable PvP; players with it disabled cannot be attacked, while others may keep combat enabled.
Custom music discs are server-added collectible or playable discs featuring content beyond Minecraft’s standard music selection.
Midpoint hides unique music discs among its discoveries, and they work without requiring a client resource pack.
Hidden structures are discoverable world locations containing exploration challenges, rewards, encounters, or environmental secrets.
Midpoint's permanent world includes hidden structures alongside puzzles and special items, creating optional exploration targets.
