MC-Ages gives players several distinct ways to settle into a long-running Minecraft network. Towny, Industrial and Dark survival worlds sit alongside Skyblock, OneBlock, Creative and Park Age, with shared systems such as quests, jobs, ranks, MCMMO and custom farming adding progression beyond standard survival.
What Makes It Different
MC-Ages connects several different survival progression styles through one network. A player can move from protected Towny settlement building to island-based OneBlock or Skyblock progression, then switch to a themed Park Age or Creative world without leaving the same community and shared rank ecosystem.
OneBlock is a Minecraft mode built around repeatedly mining one regenerating block to gather resources and advance through phases.
One Age explicitly uses a regenerating source block, phases, island progression, and related custom systems.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.

Custom content includes ranks, quests, boss mobs, catacomb challenges, upgraded fishing, PyroFarming, OneBlock greenhouses, island generators and purchasable minions. The network has also supported a dedicated modded age with an accompanying Forge modpack.
The network mixes persistent survival worlds with distinct layouts. Towny centers on towns, nations and protected land, Industrial and Dark provide different survival pressures, Skyblock and OneBlock use floating island progression, and Park Age is built around a themed amusement-park setting and minigames.
PvP is a supporting activity rather than the network's central identity. One Age has a KoTH area built around supply drops, boss encounters and player combat, while the survival ages focus more heavily on building, progression, claims and PvE challenges.
Money is earned through Jobs, farming, selling resources, shops and other server activities. BankPlus adds savings accounts with upgradeable interest levels, while PyroFarming gives players another production and selling route across the main survival ages.
Seasonal activities have included a winter and Christmas spawn, alongside major network resets and new-mode launches.
MC-Ages is organized around a small community using the server, forums and Discord for support, announcements and staff communication. Players can join towns, islands and other shared builds, while active members can apply for staff roles after spending time helping the community.
Survival ages use land claims or grief-prevention systems, and some custom systems have their own requirements. OneBlock greenhouses, for example, must follow specific construction and biome rules. History of MC-Ages
MC-Ages was already operating by 2020, when the network was expanding its survival lineup and adding Skyblock. Its documented modes later grew to include a dedicated One Age, which opened on October 25, 2022 around a regenerating source block, island progression, quests, generators, minions and a PvP-focused KoTH area.
In December 2023, PyroFarming added a deeper agricultural progression system across the main survival ages. Players could grow crops through stations, manage climate and traits, sell harvests, and improve farming skills and upgrades.
On August 31, 2024, the network announced a full 1.21.1 reset with refreshed worlds, a new lobby and an MC-Ages museum for notable player builds. The reset marked a substantial refresh of the network rather than a change to its broad multi-mode structure.
