About Makoto
Last updated
Makoto, or MakotoMC, is plain vanilla survival built on trust. There are no land claims, no /spawn, no /home and no /pay. You walk, fly with elytra or race along the ice roads of the Nether, and you trade with diamond ore as money.
The main world, Eternal, is full of player cities that staff visit every week. Voice chat is part of daily life, and staff log every block and chest, so a thief is banned and your items come back. Java and Bedrock players can join, and the community speaks Russian.
What Makes It Different
Cities compete in weekly staff walkthroughs for points, and the top three earn a bigger voice in the server Senate, city name tags and their own emojis.
The project calls itself a vanilla server, with no claims, homes or teleports.
One shared world where players build cities, trade and talk on voice chat.
Eternal is classic vanilla survival with no gameplay-changing mods.
Classic survival with almost no shortcuts. You build where you like, follow the rules and the etiquette of your neighbours, and travel on foot, by elytra or through the Nether ice road network.
Each season ends with a wipe, about once a year or sooner when a big Minecraft update lands. Past season maps are kept online, and their builds can be visited in the Museum.
Players trade by barter with AR, which is diamond ore. A /price list sets minimum prices for valuable items, and trade shops sit near spawn.
A friendly, grown-up Russian-speaking community with Simple Voice Chat. Cities have a Senate, and staff run events together with players.
Griefing and theft, even small theft, can bring a permanent ban. PvP needs the other player's consent, traps must be marked, and x-ray packs, cheats and bots mean a permanent ban.
Free to play. An optional Plus subscription costs 159 rubles a month and adds cosmetic perks, a larger view distance and handy tools like portable crafting.
Trade runs on AR, diamond ore, with a /price list of minimum prices for valuable items.
Every block and chest action is logged, so staff can undo griefing and return stolen items.
The web map shows your area of the current season once you place an active beacon.
Maps of every past season stay online, and old builds can be visited on the Museum server.
The world is wiped about once a year, or sooner when a major Minecraft version comes out.
Player cities are scored in weekly staff walkthroughs, and the top three gain Senate influence, name tags and pets.
There are no claim plugins, so you can build anywhere and borders are agreed between neighbours.
Ice roads at Y=75 in the Nether form a metro-style network, with its own map refreshed every night.
There is no /spawn or /home, so you travel on foot, by elytra or along the Nether roads.
Simple Voice Chat lets you talk to nearby players in game, and the server strongly recommends it.
Best Time to Play
Makoto is busiest around 16:00 UTC and quietest around 02:00 UTC, based on recent player activity.
History of Makoto
Makoto has been running since 24 March 2020. Players who were there early remember it under its first name, Brindll, before a full rebrand gave it the name Makoto. Player reviews on the site go back to 2021.
Over the years the project added a Museum that keeps builds from past seasons, a OneBlock server that is still in beta and a growing city system with its own Senate. The latest wipe on 24 October 2026 opened the eleventh season of Eternal, again on the newest Minecraft version.
