MagicalLands mixes CityBuild with an RPG. You claim a plot to build on, then head out into farm worlds full of custom 3D mobs to gather what you need. Quests send you on jobs big and small, and the team says every one of its more than 70 quest types is voiced, with its own music in each area.
Almost nothing here works like vanilla. Enchanting and repairing use the server's own system, and stats like mana, stamina and temperature change how you play. The server speaks German and runs on Java. It opened as an Open Beta in October 2025, and progress made in the beta is kept.
What Makes It Different
The team rebuilt enchanting, repair and player stats from scratch and gives its quests full voice acting, so it plays more like an RPG than a usual CityBuild server.
Building on your own plot in the city is the base of the server.
Custom stats, voiced quests, skills and abilities shape everything you do.
An auction house, a bazaar with sales tax, and jobs for income.
You build on your own plot in the city and gather in separate farm worlds. Daily, weekly and monthly quests, jobs and collections give you goals between builds.
Levelling skills and collections unlocks abilities, from an earthquake attack to a protective shield. Stats like mana, stamina, movement speed and temperature grow as you progress.
Players trade through an auction house and a bazaar, and there is a small tax on each sale. Jobs and quests give extra income and special recipes.
The team runs build contests, PvP arena fights, puzzle hunts, XP weekends and seasonal events for Easter, Halloween and Christmas.
Free to play with the Bauer rank. Paid ranks from Ritter to König add homes, plots, auction slots, handy commands and boosters, and the shop also sells Drachenjade, boosters, vouchers and bundles.
You can list items in the auction house and the bazaar, with a small tax taken on each sale.

Mana fuels magic abilities, and skills unlock moves such as an earthquake attack or a protective shield.
Jobs give you extra tasks with their own bonuses and unlock special recipes.

History of MagicalLands
The MagicalLands team spent more than a year building the server before opening it. The Open Beta launched on 24 October 2025, with a promise that all progress made during the beta would be kept.
Since then the server has run seasonal events through its first year, from a Christmas event in winter 2025 to Easter 2026 and a Halloween event from 26 October to 1 November 2026. A Christmas event 2026 is planned from 1 December, and the team says it already has plans for at least two more years of content.
