About HearthCraft

HearthCraft was a no-griefing economy SMP that kept ordinary survival at the center while adding land claims, mcMMO, pets, a leveling system, player shops, auctions, and resource worlds. Its main world continued without a reset from July 2019 until the server closed on April 18, 2025, making long-term building and community continuity more important than seasonal wipes.

What Makes It Different

HearthCraft's clearest difference was continuity. Its main world was not reset after July 2019, while separate resource worlds handled renewable mining and exploration. Combined with no-griefing rules and a non-pay-to-win store, that made the server feel more like a long-term building community than a wipe-driven survival network.

HearthCraft Gameplay

Players gathered resources, built bases and community spaces, explored the main and resource worlds, and protected their land with claims. The server kept the ordinary Minecraft survival loop recognizable while adding conveniences such as random teleportation, pets, leaderboards, death recovery through /back, and server-side quality-of-life systems.

History of HearthCraft

The first iteration of HearthCraft launched in October 2018 on Minecraft 1.12. It gained early traction, then began to flourish more fully in April 2019. From July 2019 onward, the main world was kept as a persistent long-term world rather than being reset.

During the pandemic years, HearthCraft grew into a large community with long-running builds, regular events, and a strong social identity. Its survival systems remained close to vanilla while plugins added claims, skills, pets, economy tools, and additional achievements.

HearthCraft closed on April 18, 2025. The shutdown followed years of technical debt, world files approaching 1 TB, the owner's transition to college, and difficult-to-reverse problems during the move to Minecraft 1.21.
