About Hack The Planet
Hack The Planet's ATM9 server is a public modded SMP built around All The Mods 9 for Minecraft 1.20.1. You can build factories, automate resources, follow magic progression, explore extra dimensions, and hunt bosses with other players.
The server adds the multiplayer tools that make a huge kitchen-sink pack easier to enjoy together. Claims, homes, player teleports, player shops, voting rewards, and a Discord community give the world structure beyond the modpack itself. Blood Moons and rank progression add activity outside the normal quest grind.
It suits players who want a large tech-and-magic sandbox with room for massive bases and end-game automation. It is a poor fit for players looking for vanilla survival or a fast PvP-focused server.
What Makes It Different
Hack The Planet takes one of Minecraft's biggest modpacks and gives it the systems needed for a shared long-term world. The mix of claims, shops, teleports, voting rewards, Blood Moons, and rank progression makes ATM9 feel more like a maintained multiplayer world than a private modpack save.

Server-side tuning focuses on performance and multiplayer convenience. Custom configurations, optimized routing, claims, rank progression, vote crates, and reward crates extend the standard ATM9 experience without replacing the modpack's main systems.
The ATM9 world is persistent, with a 60,000-by-60,000 footprint and a no-wipe policy. Claims help players protect bases, while homes and player teleports make a large world easier to travel.
The server has an in-game economy with player shops and voting rewards. A free in-game rank system adds another progression path alongside normal modpack advancement.
Blood Moons create temporary difficulty spikes with stronger loot. Voting and daily reward crates provide regular reasons to return, while the network has also promoted community challenges around its modded servers.
The public Discord is the main social hub. Cross-server chat connects the regular ATM9 world with ATM9 To The Sky, and players can trade through shops or work together on large automation and building projects.
The server is open to the public with no whitelist. Active moderation and Discord-based support are part of the multiplayer setup.
The network operates an official store for in-game ranks and digital goods. Purchases are virtual licenses tied to the purchasing account, and the store terms describe sales as final with no refunds after purchase.

History of Hack The Planet
Hack The Planet's All The Mods 9 server was running by November 24, 2023, when it appeared as a public ATM9 survival server. From the beginning, its focus was the full modpack rather than a small custom game mode: players had access to the pack's large technology, magic, exploration, and quest systems.
By 2024, the server had developed into a public multiplayer world with a large world border, persistent builds, claims, player homes, teleports, player shops, voting rewards, and an in-game rank system. The network also operated an ATM9 To The Sky companion server, with cross-server communication linking the two experiences.
On March 28, 2025, the network moved from the older hck.gg and EthosRealms.com branding to hacktheplanet.now. The original servers were kept alive during the change. The transition also brought a new backend, better load balancing and chat integration, improved support for newer Minecraft versions, and a move away from plugin-based hybrid systems toward custom-coded server mods.
The rebrand also followed changes to the network's paid ranks and the earlier merging of Ethos Realms bases and worlds. Hack The Planet treated the change as a network-wide rebuild rather than a reset of the existing communities.
The network expanded beyond ATM9 during late 2025 and 2026, adding Prominence II RPG and then All The Mods 10. ATM9 remains part of the network with its own public endpoint, alongside the ATM9 To The Sky server.
Today, the ATM9 server remains a public 1.20.1 modded SMP centered on automation, quests, exploration, community trading, and long-term progression toward the pack's major end-game goals.
