FactionWars puts the old-school Factions loop back in the foreground: form a group, gather gear, build a base, and expect that gear to be contested by raids and PvP. Season 2 runs on 1.8.8-style combat with mcMMO, a fresh map, a harsh economy, and no paid kits or gear, so progress comes from time in the world rather than a starter bundle.
What Makes It Different
FactionWars deliberately keeps the player exposed. There is no hub progression or paid combat kit to skip the early grind, and the combination of a harsh economy, open faction conflict, old-school combat, and meaningful gear loss makes ordinary mining and preparation part of the PvP game rather than a separate warm-up.
Factions is a Minecraft multiplayer mode where players join organized groups, build shared bases, and compete with rival groups for territory, resources, and strategic advantage.

History of FactionWars
Season 1 opened on April 15, 2026 with a fresh 1.8.8 Factions map built around survival, raiding, mcMMO, and direct player conflict. The server launched without a hub or lobby, sending players straight into the survival world and its warzone-driven gameplay.
Season 2 went live on July 13, 2026 with another fresh map and a larger feature set.
