About Cobblemon Islands
Cobblemon Islands turns Cobblemon into a long-term multiplayer adventure. You catch and breed Pokémon, build in shared-progress island realms, trade through the GTS, protect land with claims, and take on server-wide activities with other trainers. The Sun, Moon, and Star realms share player progress, while the Moon Realm removes player damage for a calmer building space.
There is much more to do than fill the Pokédex. Player-run gyms and ranked National Dex OU and VGC battles give competitive players a clear ladder. Expeditions lead through puzzle rooms toward legendary encounters, while raids, dens, outbreaks, Safari zones, Bingo cards, and seasonal quests keep the world moving.
What Makes It Different
Cobblemon Islands combines a persistent survival world with a full Pokémon MMO-style loop. You can build a protected base, run a gym, trade rare Pokémon, enter ranked battles, and chase legendary rewards without leaving the same network.
Its other standout feature is presentation. Pokémon have complete models, including Mega Evolutions, Z-Moves, Terastallization content, custom skins, and special rideable forms.
Cobblemon is a modded Minecraft experience where players find, catch, train, and battle Pokémon-like creatures while exploring the world.
The server is built around the Cobblemon Pokémon mod and its collection, battling, breeding, and exploration systems.
Modded Minecraft servers use game mods to add or change mechanics, content, or progression beyond the unmodified game.
Joining requires a dedicated Fabric modpack containing Cobblemon and server-specific additions.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
Raids, dens, expeditions, wild Pokémon battles, Safari zones, and bosses form a major part of the gameplay.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players build, gather resources, claim land, manage homes, and develop long-term bases in survival realms.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The network provides shared multiplayer survival realms with player communities, towns, gyms, trading, and social progression.
Install the Cobblemon Islands Fabric modpack, choose a starter, and follow the tutorial quests around spawn. From there, players catch Pokémon, battle wild encounters, breed teams at the Daycare, fish with upgraded Pokérods, and travel between the main realms.
The server adds commands and menus for homes, claims, shops, GTS trading, raids, Safari travel, expeditions, and ranked battles. Pokémon collection sits alongside normal Minecraft building and resource gathering.
Progress comes from several connected paths. Catching and training Pokémon improves your battle team, while breeding lets you work toward stronger inherited stats and better competitive builds.
Quests, Bingo cards, fishing, mining, wild battles, raids, dens, expeditions, and tournaments provide different ways to earn PokéCoins, items, tickets, keys, and Battle Pass progress. Ranked matches also award Battle Points, even after a loss.
Cobblemon Islands includes all 1025 Pokémon listed in its Pokédex, with models for Megas, Z-Moves, Terastallization content, regional forms, and server-exclusive remodels such as Gladiator Chatot, Space Haunter, and Mailman Dragonite.
Other custom systems include Pokémon fishing, custom mounts, furniture, expedition rooms, den encounters, crystal skin rewards, PokéBuilder-style training items, and special cosmetics for both trainers and Pokémon.
The main building realms are Sun, Moon, and Star. Sun is the oldest and busiest, Star is the newest, and Moon offers a PvP-free place to build. Player progress is shared between these realms.
The network also includes custom Nether and End regions, a Resource World, Safari zones divided by Pokémon type, and expedition islands reached through a train at spawn. Resource-focused realms reset regularly, while the main building realms provide the long-term home-building experience.
The server supports both casual and competitive Pokémon battles. Ranked Singles uses a National Dex OU ruleset, while ranked VGC uses double battles with four Pokémon selected from a six-Pokémon team.
Ranked play uses MMR, tiers from Iron through Challenger, seasonal points, and Battle Points. The Moon Realm is PvP-free, while the ranked system uses its own ban lists and format restrictions to control powerful Pokémon and battle gimmicks.
PokéCoins can be earned by battling wild Pokémon, fishing, mining, breeding, selling resources, and trading valuable Pokémon or items. Prices for some resources change with sales activity, so profitable methods can shift over time.
The economy includes chest shops, a Coin Shop, and the GTS. The GTS supports both direct buyouts and auctions for items and Pokémon, making rare Pokémon, shinies, legendary creatures, breeding items, and cosmetics part of the player marketplace.
Regular activities include server-wide legendary raids, mass outbreaks, tournaments, ranked seasons, seasonal battle passes, quests, community goals, and themed crate releases.
Bingo cards give players rotating catch challenges and reset every 48 hours. Expeditions use themed rooms, puzzles, obstacles, bosses, and reward tiers, with legendary or mythical Pokémon as possible prizes.
Cobblemon Islands has an English-speaking Discord community with support tickets, announcements, events, giveaways, and player trading. Players can run gyms, form towns, compete in tournaments, and trade through the GTS or community marketplace.
The server suits both solo collectors and groups. A player can build privately behind claims, join a town, operate a gym, or focus on competitive battling without needing to follow the same progression route as everyone else.
Land claims protect builds from destructive actions by default, and claim permissions can be assigned through the Flan menu. Players can create trusted groups with roles such as co-owner and visitor.
The Moon Realm prevents player damage. Ranked Pokémon battles use separate format rules and ban lists, including restrictions on certain legendary Pokémon, moves, items, and battle gimmicks.
The server has an online store selling ranks, rank upgrades, claim blocks, crate keys, bundles, cosmetics, card packs, global boosts, and gift cards. Featured crates rotate around themed releases, while core crates remain part of the regular reward system.
Purchases can also contribute to community goals that grant rewards to players online. The server is free to join, but store purchases are part of its funding model.

History of Cobblemon Islands
Cobblemon Islands was established by 2023, when its official server modpack was already being distributed for multiplayer Cobblemon. Early versions used the Fabric and Forge modding ecosystem and focused on combining Pokémon collection with a familiar survival world.
By 2024, the server was known for giving Pokémon full in-game models rather than relying on simple substitute sprites. Community discussions also highlighted its survival-style quality-of-life features, towns, and a large selection of modeled Pokémon.
As the network developed, its scope grew beyond ordinary Cobblemon survival. Multiple building realms, shared progression, player gyms, trading systems, quests, raids, expeditions, custom mounts, and special Pokémon skins became part of the regular experience.
Competitive play became a major pillar through ranked National Dex OU and VGC formats. Numbered seasons added seasonal progression and exclusive cosmetic rewards, while Battle Points and MMR gave repeat battlers reasons to keep climbing.
The modern network runs with its own Fabric modpack for Minecraft 1.21.1. Its current feature set includes the Sun, Moon, and Star realms, custom Nether and End regions, Safari zones, dens, legendary raids, Bingo, battle passes, player shops, and a Pokédex covering all 1025 Pokémon.
Today, Cobblemon Islands is a large feature-heavy Cobblemon survival network where collection, building, trading, PvE challenges, and organized Pokémon battles all feed into the same long-term character and team progression.
