About Classic Vanilla
Classic Vanilla keeps survival close to ordinary Minecraft, but makes travel and planning matter by running on Hard and leaving out /tpa, /home, and /spawn. Players gather, build, explore, and share a large world with Java and Bedrock players, while griefing is forbidden and PvP happens only by agreement.
What Makes It Different
The server strips away convenience commands without turning survival into anarchy. Hard difficulty, no teleport shortcuts, protected builds, and consent-based PvP create a slower, more deliberate SMP where distance and cooperation matter.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
It uses ordinary Minecraft systems without gameplay-changing mods or custom progression mechanics.

A server restriction that requires players to travel manually instead of using commands that instantly return or move them.

History of Classic Vanilla
Classic Vanilla has been running since 2020 as a small hard-mode survival community. Its world history is shaped by community decisions, with map resets discussed and voted on rather than treated as a routine server cycle.
After an older world had been established for roughly two years, the server moved into a new world following the 26.2 reset in 2026. The reset kept the server’s central approach intact: unmodded survival, a respectful building environment, and room for players to create their own long-term goals.
