About bombaSMP
The main openworld server keeps hard vanilla survival at an unusually large scale. Players explore a near-full-size Minecraft world, form teams, trade through a diamond-backed economy, protect land with chunk claims, and deal with unrestricted PvP. Creative provides peaceful 5,000 by 5,000 building worlds, while Lifesteal adds heart stealing, revive beacons, and permanent elimination risk.
What Makes It Different
bombaSMP combines a near-full-size vanilla survival world with a diamond-backed economy and a Lifesteal mode where player kills change maximum health. Reaching zero hearts can permanently remove a player unless a teammate uses a Revive Beacon, giving team coordination a direct survival purpose.
Lifesteal is a Minecraft PvP survival mode where player kills and deaths change a player’s maximum health.
The named Lifesteal mode uses kill-based heart stealing, zero-heart removal, and Revive Beacons.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
Openworld is explicitly presented as hard vanilla survival with utility systems rather than client-side modpack content.
Creative is a Minecraft building mode where players construct and test structures with unrestricted access to building materials instead of gathering them through survival play.
A separate peaceful Creative server provides normal, superflat, and void building environments.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Openworld and Lifesteal are hard-difficulty survival worlds centered on gathering, building, equipment, and staying alive.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The network centers multiplayer survival worlds with bases, teams, shared resources, and ongoing player progression.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Openworld permits unrestricted player combat, while Lifesteal makes PvP central to health progression and survival risk.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Physical diamonds, banking, transfers, shops, auctions, and resource trading make economy gameplay a substantial Openworld system.
Openworld is built around ordinary hard-difficulty survival with server-side utilities instead of client mods. Players can set homes, teleport to teammates, create teams, share team vaults, claim chunks, move Silk Touch-mined spawners, trade through shops and auctions, and hunt the Dragon Egg. Creative offers peaceful building in normal, superflat, and void worlds, with WorldEdit limited to superflat.
Openworld progression comes from gathering resources, improving equipment, building a secure base, expanding claims, and accumulating physical diamonds for trade. Lifesteal adds a second progression layer where kills increase a player's heart total and deaths threaten long-term access to the mode. Hearts and Revive Beacons can be crafted from custom recipes. Creative is focused on building rather than survival progression.
The network adds homes, cross-server teleport requests, teams, claims, shared vaults, global chat, network points, minable spawners, BedHome, night vision, phantom repellent, custom heart recipes, Revive Beacons, and a Dragon Egg ownership hunt. These systems sit around recognizable Minecraft survival rather than replacing it with a modpack.
Openworld uses hard-difficulty survival across a 29,999,984 by 29,999,984 world, described as the full unrestricted vanilla size. Creative contains peaceful 5,000 by 5,000 world, superflat, and void environments. Lifesteal uses a separate hard-difficulty 5,000 by 5,000 survival world.
Openworld PvP is unrestricted, with no safe zones or cooldowns. Players can be attacked anywhere, so travel, base security, team alliances, and stored resources all carry risk. Lifesteal enables PvP throughout its world and turns kills into heart progression. Creative disables PvP and is peaceful.
The openworld economy is backed by physical diamonds rather than a purely abstract currency. Players can deposit and withdraw diamonds, transfer balances, buy and sell essential resources through the server shop, and trade custom items through the global auction house. Teams also share a vault for group resources.
Network points can be earned through voting and events. A Halloween building contest runs through October 31, 2026, with Creative entries, point rewards, and temporary rank prizes.
Global chat connects the network's modes, while teams provide private communication, shared homes, and shared vaults. Discord is used for community updates, support tickets, and player reports.
Openworld allows unrestricted PvP and does not provide safe zones or combat cooldowns. Creative is peaceful with PvP disabled. Players can report problems in game with /report or contact staff through Discord tickets.
bombaSMP presents a no-pay-to-win approach. Network points are earned through voting and events, while the main progression systems are based on survival resources, diamonds, teams, building, and combat.
A revival mechanic can return an eliminated or elimination-threatened player to active play after a qualifying intervention.
Lifesteal teammates can craft and use Revive Beacons to prevent permanent removal after a player reaches zero hearts.
A high-stakes rule where reaching zero hearts removes a player from active progression or ends their current run.
In Lifesteal, reaching zero hearts can permanently remove a player unless a teammate uses a Revive Beacon.
A diamond economy uses diamonds as a commonly accepted medium for exchanging goods, services, or player-run commerce.
Openworld players deposit, withdraw, transfer, and spend physical diamonds through banking, a server shop, and player-to-player trading.
WorldEdit is a building toolset that enables players to manipulate large areas of terrain and structures efficiently.
Creative enables WorldEdit only in its superflat environment, while the normal and void building worlds do not receive that access.
A global auction house lets players list, discover, and purchase items through a shared server-wide marketplace.
The global auction house handles player sales of custom items, complementing the server shop for essential resources.
Team vaults are shared storage spaces that organized player groups can access and manage collectively.
Teams on bombaSMP receive a shared vault for group resources, alongside team chat and a shared home.
Server-defined heart recipes let players craft health-related items or progression resources through custom crafting formulas.
Lifesteal provides custom recipes for hearts and Revive Beacons, making crafting part of its recovery and health progression.
A network teleport system lets players request or accept travel between separate server worlds or modes.
Teleport requests work across Openworld, Lifesteal, and Creative, connecting the network's separate player communities.
A world generated or bounded at nearly the maximum scale supported by standard Minecraft limits enables extremely long-distance exploration.
Openworld spans 29,999,984 by 29,999,984 blocks, giving survival players a near-full-size vanilla world to explore.

History of bombaSMP
bombaSMP was established in 2026 as an open-world survival server built around familiar vanilla gameplay, player conflict, and a physical diamond economy. Its early identity centered on long-distance exploration, PvP, raiding, and a small set of utility systems rather than a large collection of custom mechanics.
During 2026, bombaSMP expanded into a network with separate Creative and Lifesteal modes. Creative added peaceful world, superflat, and void environments with WorldEdit in superflat, while Lifesteal introduced heart stealing, revive beacons, and its own hard survival map. Homes, teams, teleport requests, chat, and points now work across the network.
