About BambooSMP
BambooSMP is a laid-back tropical survival SMP built for players who want their base to matter months later. The world does not reset, griefing can be rolled back, and land claims give builders room to settle. There is no whitelist or application process.
The survival loop adds jobs, fishing, farming, rank-up rewards, playtime crates, and coins for an in-game shop. PvP is opt-in, public farms are shared, and the rules protect a calm building-focused community while still leaving room for projects, trading, and events.
What Makes It Different
BambooSMP is built around permanence. Your base is meant to stay, even if you take a break for a month. Its other major difference is opt-in PvP, so players can focus on building and cooperation without surprise kills deciding every encounter.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The world is designed around builds remaining through time without regular resets.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
The gameplay keeps a vanilla-feel survival foundation with light additions.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Players claim settlement space and follow protected base-spacing rules.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Survival is the server's main game mode.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is structured as a shared survival multiplayer world.
Join at the island hub, read the claim information, and choose a place at least 200 blocks from another base. Public farms are shared resources: use them, restock them, and leave their redstone untouched. Quality-of-life changes reduce busywork while keeping the main survival loop familiar.
Jobs, fishing, farming, rank-up rewards, and playtime crates add goals beyond ordinary survival. The named rank path runs from Bud to Bamboo. Coins are used through `/coinshop`, while paid perks do not provide combat or progression power.
Custom systems stay close to vanilla survival. The main additions are jobs, fishing, rank-up rewards, playtime crates, coins, the `/coinshop`, and quality-of-life improvements.
The server uses a tropical island setting with a central hub, player settlements, public farms, and long-term builds. There are no seasonal world wipes, and abandoned builds remain standing unless staff approve their removal.
PvP is opt-in, and both players must agree before a fight. Killing someone without consent means returning their items. Hacked clients, x-ray, macros, auto-clickers, duplication, and exploit abuse are forbidden.
The economy connects jobs, farming, fishing, player activity, and the in-game coin shop. Store purchases can include coins, but the paid system is restricted to currency, cosmetics, and convenience perks rather than combat strength.
Weekly events offer special rewards, while Discord is used for announcements, build showcases, and community activity between play sessions.
The social side of BambooSMP lives heavily in Discord. Players share builds, discuss farms, ask for supplies, and follow event announcements. The server is aimed at regulars and small groups rather than a huge anonymous network.
Griefing, stealing, harassment, slurs, bigotry, explicit content, server advertising, cheats, exploits, and vote farming are prohibited. Bases should be at least 200 blocks apart unless players agree otherwise. Oversized mob grinders, flying machines, and stacked chunk loaders are also restricted. Staff use warnings for many first offences, while severe cheating, large-scale griefing, and hate speech can result in permanent bans.
BambooSMP is free to join. Store products are limited to cosmetics, convenience features, or currency, and no purchase gives a combat or progression advantage. Purchases are one-time transactions handled through Tebex.

History of BambooSMP
BambooSMP was running by May 2026 as a newly opened survival SMP focused on friendly play and a relaxed community. Its early feature set combined vanilla-style survival with jobs, fishing, farming, land claims, rank progression, playtime rewards, and scheduled events.
The server developed around a tropical island theme rather than a heavily altered RPG or minigame network. Survival remained the main activity, while quality-of-life changes and extra progression goals helped reduce the repetitive parts of the grind.
A lasting-world approach became central to the experience. Builds were kept through seasonal changes instead of being cleared for regular fresh starts, and abandoned structures were treated as part of the world rather than disposable map content.
The community rules also took a deliberate turn away from open combat. PvP became opt-in, base spacing was defined, public farms were treated as shared infrastructure, and large griefing or exploit abuse could lead to permanent bans.
By August 2026, BambooSMP had a dedicated public website, store, rules hub, voting page, and Discord community. The server now presents itself as persistent tropical survival with light progression, active community spaces, and cosmetic-only monetization.
