About AvalonMC
Players on AvalonMC turn a scaled map of Earth into towns, cities and nations, then decide whether to trade, roleplay or take those borders to war. It is a seasonal survival server built around Towny settlement play, player-driven politics, jobs, quests and cross-play between Java and Bedrock.
What Makes It Different
AvalonMC combines real-world geography with low-barrier nation building. Players can establish a nation with starter money instead of first meeting a large wealth or population requirement, while peaceful settlement, diplomacy and organized wars all fit into the same world.
Geopolitical servers organize Minecraft play around player-run states that claim territory, manage borders, and compete or cooperate for influence.
Players form nations, manage borders, build alliances, practice diplomacy and participate in organized wars.
Earth servers use a Minecraft map based on real-world geography, giving building, travel, and settlement a recognizable setting of continents, countries, and cities.
The server uses a scaled real-world Earth map as the setting for towns, cities, nations, travel and territorial development.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.
Towny settlement mechanics underpin town creation, land development, resident cooperation and nation formation.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players gather resources, farm, fish, mine, build settlements and improve equipment in an ongoing survival world.
Roleplay is Minecraft gameplay where players act as characters in a shared fictional world and make choices from those characters’ perspectives.
Nation-building, diplomacy, city development and player-driven political interaction support roleplay across the shared world.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Player conflict and nation wars are prominent optional activities, while peaceful settlements remain possible.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Currency earned through jobs, farming, fishing and other activities supports settlement development and progression.
Build a town on real-world geography, gather resources, farm, fish, mine, complete jobs and quests, and work with other towns to form nations. The server supports both peaceful settlement and organized conflict, so diplomacy, borders and infrastructure can matter as much as equipment.
Progression combines ordinary survival resources with Towny growth, jobs, quests, farming and custom skills, collections and enchantments. Starter money helps new players establish a nation early, while continued progress comes from expanding settlements, earning currency, improving equipment and coordinating a larger group.
Server-specific systems include custom enchantments, skills and collections layered onto Towny survival. These additions give players more ways to specialize and pursue progression beyond standard Minecraft equipment.
The main world uses a scaled real-world Earth map, giving continents, oceans and recognizable regions room for towns and nations. Current Season 4 promotion describes a 1:326 scale, while earlier seasons used a different published scale.
Wars and player conflict are central options rather than the only way to play. Nations can form alliances and fight across the Earth map, while players who prefer a quieter role can remain in peaceful settlements and generally avoid wars.
Jobs are a primary way to earn money, with farming, fishing and other activities also contributing to a player's funds. Currency supports early nation-building and gives players reasons to specialize, trade and keep developing their towns.
Community play revolves around cooperation between towns and nations, roleplay, diplomacy and conflict. Discord is used for announcements, coordination and seasonal updates.
Starter nation access lowers the initial barrier for players who want to establish a nation early in server progression.

Custom enchantments add server-defined equipment effects or upgrade options beyond Minecraft's standard enchantment system.

Skill progression rewards repeated gameplay activities with advancement that improves a player’s long-term capabilities or status.

Collection systems give players longer-term goals for gathering or completing sets of items, resources or achievements.
AvalonMC features collections as an additional long-term objective layered onto its Earth survival, settlement and economic progression.
