About Agonia SMP
Agonia is a Swedish whitelist survival SMP with a semi-vanilla ruleset and a strong focus on player-created communities. You apply before joining, then build a place in a world shaped by cities, shops, companies and local laws.
The server treats social play as part of survival. Players can run businesses, take jobs, settle disputes through courts and use a shared map to find cities and shops. Combat exists, but random killing, theft and griefing are not part of normal play.
What Makes It Different
Agonia turns survival into a small society. Cities, businesses, elections and courts are not just background roleplay; they affect how players trade, build, fight and settle arguments.
Roleplay is Minecraft gameplay where players act as characters in a shared fictional world and make choices from those characters’ perspectives.
Politics, courts, companies, city laws and player institutions are central parts of the experience.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
Player-run shops receive dedicated map markers and are an important part of trade.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Claimed private land, city rights and protected areas are part of the server's rules and legal structure.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is fundamentally a survival world with long-term player-built settlements and resource-based play.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Agonia is a shared multiplayer survival server centered on community activity and player-created stories.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Diamonds function as currency, with shops, companies, services and casinos forming a player-driven economy.
Play survival as part of a shared society rather than in isolation. You can join a city, open a shop, work for a company, create public projects or become involved in server institutions.
Long-term progress comes from building a place in the community. Establishing a city presence, running a shop, creating useful works and taking on public roles can matter as much as collecting stronger equipment.
Agonia uses a semi-vanilla setup with documented additions such as player sleep, mob heads, a custom wandering trader, map tools and CoreProtect. The server keeps the normal Minecraft feel while adding practical community features.
The shared map covers the Overworld and Nether. Cities and established shops can receive map markers, making the map useful for travel, trade and finding important player-built places.
Random killing is forbidden. Players normally need a clear reason or agreement before fighting. Formal war agreements can create different rules, while an unapproved kill can lead to item returns, fines, prison time or compensation.
Diamonds are the main in-game currency. Players trade through shops and businesses, and redstone casino machines also use diamonds. Licensed casinos can receive rollback support, while unlicensed gambling carries financial risk.
Elections, court proceedings, games and other player-run activities are part of server life. The rules also protect events from being disrupted while they are taking place.
The community is Swedish-first and accepts Swedish, Norwegian or Danish for public participation. Joining is application-based, with Discord used for support and community communication.
Griefing, stealing, scams, cheating, X-ray, bug abuse, unauthorized alt accounts, VPN use and advertising other servers are prohibited. Player killing needs context or consent, and cultural buildings and cities receive special protection.
The official store sells cosmetics such as name colors and emblems. Store materials describe the cosmetics as non-pay-to-win support items.

History of Agonia SMP
Agonia opened on July 19, 2018, as a private Minecraft server created by Halvnaken, Helnaken and Eric35. It began as a small place for friends to play together rather than as a public minigame network.
That changed within the first few days. A trailer brought new applications, and Agonia grew into a whitelist community with an application process at its center. The server kept its private-community structure while expanding far beyond its original group.
As the early world developed, players built cities, companies, shops and political groups instead of treating the map as a collection of unrelated bases. Elections, parties, councils and newspapers became part of everyday server life.
The legal side grew alongside the settlements. Court cases, appeals, attorneys, judges and formal rules gave player disputes a place to go. Wars could also be organized through written agreements rather than being treated as unrestricted survival combat.
Agonia's current rules preserve older buildings, cities and works as part of the server's history. The world now includes protected cultural sites, city rights, local laws, public transport routes and a shared map for important locations.
The server is now in Kapitel IX, associated with The Aether Update. It remains a Swedish application-based survival world where long-term building, trade, politics and community history matter as much as gathering gear.
