About Cloud 9
Cloud 9 is a relaxed survival SMP where building and player interaction matter more than fighting. Players claim land, open shops, visit public player locations, and gather around shared projects such as museums, mob farms, parkour areas, and community transport points.
Its economy has a useful twist: players can earn by listing their own goods or selling items for someone else through the consignment market. Death protects your equipment, but cash outside your wallet can still be lost. Custom tool and gear appearances add personality without requiring a client-side resource pack.
What Makes It Different
Cloud 9 combines peaceful no-PvP survival with a real player-run service economy. You can earn money by selling your own items or by selling for another player and taking a commission.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
Player-run shops and public commercial locations are prominent parts of the world.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Personal claims are a major part of building and protecting player spaces.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
The server adds custom tools and equipment appearances beyond standard survival.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is centered on survival gameplay, building, exploration, and resource gathering.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The experience is built around a shared multiplayer survival world and player interaction.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Game coins, wallets, commissions, and player trading are central systems.
Build inside a claimed area, visit public player destinations, and use menus for common server actions. The world includes player shops, public warps, mob farms, parkour, a history museum, lottery-style builds, and other community projects.
New players can start with the consignment market even when they lack materials to sell. From there, players can build a claim, stock shops, join or create a guild, and work toward shared guild upgrades and blessings.
Cloud 9 adds custom tools and equipment appearances that work without a client-side resource pack. Menus, the consignment market, guilds, wallet, claims, and public warp tools extend the survival experience.
Players can establish personal claims and turn selected locations into public warps. Community destinations include shops, farms, parkour areas, machines, and a history museum. The Nether, End, and resource areas are refreshed as part of the server's ongoing world cycle.
Normal survival play is no-PvP. The server is aimed at building, trading, exploration, and group activities rather than combat between players.
Game coins are used for server systems such as guild creation. The consignment market lets players list their own goods or sell items for others in return for a commission. Cash should be stored in the wallet because unprotected money can drop on death.
Players take part in group End activities and occasional server events. Public locations and themed builds also provide activities outside normal resource gathering.
The main community language is Traditional Chinese. Builders, shop owners, returning players, new players, and overseas Chinese players are welcomed. The server also provides a web public-chat area and a Discord community.
Normal survival is no-PvP. Claimed areas provide protection for builders, while the death system protects equipment but not cash that has not been placed in the wallet.
The official web shop sells Cloud 9-themed pig and chicken series items for Taiwan dollars. The shop is separate from the in-game player economy.

History of Cloud 9
Cloud 9 grew from a small team interested in combining familiar Minecraft survival with systems of their own. The project brought together server management, programming, game planning, visual design, and large-scale building under the direction of the Cloud 9 team.
By June 11, 2026, the server was already operating as a Chinese-language survival world. Its early direction focused on relaxed building, player interaction, land ownership, and practical menus that made common actions easier for newer players.
A major early update arrived in mid-June 2026 with version work and plans to refresh the Nether, End, and resource areas. Chat synchronization followed on June 17, linking the in-game social experience more closely with the server's wider community tools.
On June 23, Workshop Street opened as another player-facing destination. Around the same period, the world continued to grow through player shops, public warps, themed locations, farms, games, and shared building projects rather than through a separate minigame network.
The consignment market was refined on June 30 and July 2. Its item groups, listing limits, browsing layout, and sorting were adjusted to make commission selling more practical. This reinforced the market as one of Cloud 9's main ways for newer players to start earning without first gathering a large stockpile.
Guilds arrived on July 3, 2026. Players could create a guild, expand its member limit, unlock shared blessings, contribute guild funds, and use a guild teleport point. Guilds added a cooperative layer to a server that had previously been centered mostly on personal claims, shops, and public destinations.
Cloud 9 now offers a community-focused survival world with land claims, a player economy, guilds, custom appearances, protected equipment, refreshed adventure areas, and a growing collection of player-built places to visit.
