About SwiftServers
SwiftServers is a hosting network rather than one fixed survival world. Players can browse public worlds through a shared lobby, while server owners create their own Vanilla, plugin, or modded Minecraft servers. The service focuses on quick setup, automatic wake-up for idle free servers, and a web panel for managing worlds, files, plugins, mods, players, and backups.
What Makes It Different
SwiftServers combines free hosting with a public discovery lobby. A public server remains listed while it is asleep, and the network can wake it when a player joins. This makes individual SMPs and modded worlds easier to share without requiring every player to remember a separate server address.
Gameplay depends on each hosted world rather than on a single network-wide mode. Owners can create Vanilla servers or choose Paper for plugins, Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge for mods and modpacks. Public worlds appear in the shared lobby, where Java players can use `/join your-server` to reach a specific server.
The hosting layer provides a shared lobby, proxy routing through Geyser and Floodgate, one-click Modrinth plugin installation, full file access, SFTP support, player and whitelist management, and backup tools. Server owners can also add extra network allocations for plugins or other services.
Each hosted server has its own world and settings. Owners can choose the world name, seed, world type, difficulty, game mode, structures, and hardcore setting, so the resulting experience can range from a simple SMP to a heavily customized modded world.
The community is organized around individual public and private worlds rather than one shared survival map. Public servers appear in the lobby browser, while Discord provides support tickets and a central place for help with accounts, billing, bans, and connection problems.
Server owners are responsible for activity on their servers. The network prohibits illegal use, attempts to bypass resource or security limits, fake player counts, DDoS attacks, copyright violations, and non-gaming uses such as crypto mining or web crawling. Inactive free servers may eventually be hibernated or deleted, so external backups are important.
The free plan includes 4 GB of RAM, 10 GB of NVMe storage, and 1.5 CPU cores, but free servers sleep after 10 minutes without players. Paid upgrades use credits to add memory, storage, CPU time, or 24/7 uptime. The service does not require a credit card for the free tier.

History of SwiftServers
SwiftServers launched publicly in January 2026 as a free Minecraft hosting service built around a custom control panel, quick server creation, backups, and support for ordinary and modded Minecraft servers.
By June 2026, the service had moved to a new infrastructure platform. Its current setup uses Finland-based Hetzner hardware, a shared public lobby, Java and Bedrock proxy support, and paid upgrades alongside the free plan.
