About SunriseSMP
SunriseSMP turns survival into a persistent PvP gamble. Players gather resources, build up their position, form alliances, and hunt rivals while every player kill can change their maximum health. Craftable hearts and custom withdrawal items add extra ways to manage that progression, while reaching zero hearts can temporarily remove a player until they are revived.
What Makes It Different
The server combines heart theft with craftable hearts, withdrawal items, and a temporary ban at zero hearts. PvP therefore affects both a player's combat strength and their ability to remain active, making individual fights matter beyond the immediate loss of gear.
Lifesteal is a Minecraft PvP survival mode where player kills and deaths change a player’s maximum health.
Heart theft is the defining progression and combat mechanic, with kills changing players' maximum health.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Player combat directly determines heart gains and losses, making rival hunting central to progression.

Players combine ordinary survival activities with competitive Lifesteal progression. Gathering resources, preparing equipment, building a base, forming alliances, and choosing when to fight all support the central goal of protecting and increasing your heart total.
Heart count is the main long-term pressure. Kills can increase a player's maximum health, deaths can reduce it, and craftable hearts or withdrawal items provide additional ways to manage that progression. A player who loses all hearts can be temporarily banned until revival.
Custom content includes craftable hearts and withdrawal items that change how players store, recover, or trade heart progression.
PvP is the server's defining mechanic. Killing another player steals a heart, so fights can permanently change the balance between rivals and make risky attacks valuable even when ordinary loot is not the main objective.
Community events and drop parties provide activities outside the regular survival and PvP loop.
The server uses Discord for community chat, finding teammates, discussing updates, and coordinating player activity.

Temporary elimination removes a player from active play for a limited period after a severe gameplay loss.
