Progression runs through equipment, elemental power levels, claims, settlements and the player economy. Claim tiers grow from Settlement to Village, Town, City and Nation, with higher tiers requiring more members and supporting larger claim areas. Claims also require regular funding to avoid deletion after the warning and grace period.

SpiritSMP adds four elemental power paths, custom progression and a settlement claim system on top of survival Minecraft. The claim revamp supports customizable claim shapes, settlement tiers, claim funds and daily upkeep, while the server also maintains custom Jobs, fishing content and commands.

The main world is a scale replica of Earth. Players choose a country or region, establish a base, claim territory and develop settlements on a recognizable geographic layout. A live map is available for viewing the world and its player-built territory.

Elemental powers give combat a clear role split. Fire is built around high damage, Earth absorbs punishment, Air relies on mobility and control, and Water supports allies while becoming more dangerous at higher development. PvP is allowed under server rules, while exploits, unfair clients and abusing movement mechanics are prohibited.

The economy includes SpiritBank, player-run market orders, Jobs, fishing rewards and voting rewards. Players can earn money through activities and trade, then use it to improve gear, fund claims and expand settlements. The economy update also raised Jobs payouts and improved fishing returns.

The server runs launch and community giveaways, town-building contests and themed crate releases. Build contests give players a reason to develop villages and settlements beyond ordinary survival progression.

Discord is used for announcements, giveaways, build submissions, support tickets, claim disputes and appeals. Players can use tickets for reports, technical help and settlement-related issues.

Griefing, claim blocking, cheating, hacked clients, X-ray, freecam, duping, scamming and abusive exploits are prohibited. Builds must remain appropriate, claims must keep their required spacing and players must fund claims to prevent them from expiring. Chat rules also prohibit spam, advertising, impersonation, ban evasion and harassment.

SpiritSMP is free to play. The official store sells ranks, credits and crate keys, with some items also available through in-game credits. Store purchases are final and non-refundable.
