About Skyblock
Skyblock starts each player with a small floating island and limited resources. Grow it into a working base, build farms, gather rare materials, trade with other players, and invite friends to help.
The server keeps the island at the center of the game. Survival, Economy, and Classic paths offer different ways to play, while island settings let players control access, weather, time, biomes, mobs, and ore generation. Progress is designed to last instead of disappearing with regular resets.
What Makes It Different
Skyblock is closely tied to the original floating-island survival idea created by Noobcrew. Its strongest difference is that islands are meant to grow for years rather than vanish after a short season or reset.
Skyblock is a Minecraft mode where players develop a floating island while gathering and multiplying scarce resources above the void.
The server is built around floating-island survival and expansion.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The server promotes long-term island ownership without regular resets.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Trading, selling resources, player shops, and a dedicated Economy mode are central systems.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players gather resources, build farms, survive, and develop islands over time.
Start with a small island and use every block carefully. Make cobblestone and resource generators, grow crops, build mob farms, and expand your usable space.
You can invite friends, trust other players, lock or unlock island visits, and explore public islands. Portals can lead to additional dimensions, while server commands help with homes, shops, visits, and island management.
Progress comes from expanding your island, improving farms, collecting rare materials, and building more efficient systems. Survival and Economy modes support different goals, from relaxed construction to active selling and trading.
Island expansions and paid upgrades can increase what your island can support. Large automated designs also need to stay within limits on hoppers, spawners, redstone activity, and related machinery.
Custom island controls are a major part of the server. Players can manage permissions, visits, biome settings, weather, time, mob spawning, and ore generation.
The network also adds custom menus, crates, rank perks, island expansions, and economy tools while keeping normal Minecraft blocks and building as the foundation.
The main world is built around separate floating islands in the void. Islands can be shaped into farms, shops, homes, museums, or large public builds.
Players can change island biomes and control settings such as natural mob spawning, ore generation, weather, time, and visitor access. Nether travel is available through an island-built obsidian portal.
PvP is not the main focus of the island modes. The core experience centers on building, trading, co-op play, and protecting access to your island.
Economy mode adds a stronger money-and-trading focus. Players can gather items, sell resources through the server shop, run chest shops, and trade with other players.
Automation can create income, but large farms and idle profit setups are restricted more heavily than ordinary manual play. The economy also includes crates, keys, ranks, and other optional store-linked items.
Timed raffles and community activities appear alongside the regular island game. Players can also take part in trading activity, public island visits, and seasonal server promotions.
The community is built around co-op islands, public builds, player shops, trading, and island visits. The official Discord provides a central place for announcements, support, and player conversation.
Joining and playing is free. The official store sells ranks, rank upgrades, island expansions, keys, gift cards, Skyblock Plus, and other optional extras.
Paid items can improve convenience or provide additional perks, so players who prefer a fully equal progression path should use the free gameplay systems carefully before buying anything.

History of Skyblock
Noobcrew released the original Skyblock map on September 4, 2011. Its challenge was simple: survive on a tiny island with almost nothing, then expand using careful resource management and Minecraft mechanics.
The multiplayer server followed in 2012. It turned the single-player challenge into a shared world where players could build islands together, visit one another, trade resources, and create public builds above the void.
As the community grew, Skyblock developed its own island systems and server tools. Player invitations, permissions, island visits, shops, economy features, and custom controls became part of the long-term multiplayer experience.
In 2015, Mineverse LLC was formed and the Skyblock business was assigned to it. Noobcrew remained the public server owner and the central figure behind the Skyblock brand.
By 2019, the network had separated newer Skyblock worlds from the older Classic server. Players returning after a long break could still access older islands through the Classic path, while newer worlds received updated mechanics and server features.
The network continued moving through newer Minecraft versions while keeping its island-first design. Updates added compatibility improvements, menu changes, island controls, economy changes, and support for newer blocks and items.
In 2025, server development focused on performance and economy balance. Large redstone systems, hoppers, spawners, and automated farms received limits, while ore generation, Nether drops, island settings, and selling rules were adjusted.
Today, Skyblock remains a persistent island-building network with Survival, Economy, and Classic modes. It supports Java and Bedrock players, keeps the original Skyblock idea recognizable, and adds years of social, economic, and technical systems around it.
