Pixelax is a French Java server built around Cobblemon, the Pokémon mod formerly known on the project as Pixelmon. You explore the Pixelax region, catch and breed Pokémon, fight arena champions, complete quests and build up a team for harder battles.
The server goes well beyond a basic Cobblemon world. It has a Safari, Zone Zéro, wild raids, procedural dungeons, a Battle Tower, ranked matches, jobs, an economy and dozens of Pokémon made specifically for Pixelax. The world is divided into cities with useful facilities, shops and travel points to unlock.
What Makes It Different
Pixelax feels like a Pokémon RPG inside a Minecraft region rather than a simple Cobblemon survival map. Its strongest hooks are the 80 server-exclusive Pokémon and the large chain of gyms, raids, dungeons, quests and collection zones built around them.
Cobblemon is a modded Minecraft experience where players find, catch, train, and battle Pokémon-like creatures while exploring the world.
The server is built around the Cobblemon Pokémon mod.
Modded Minecraft servers use game mods to add or change mechanics, content, or progression beyond the unmodified game.
Players must install the Pixelax modpack to join.

Players use the Pixelax modpack through the Pixelax launcher or Modrinth. The pack should not be updated manually, and the join guide recommends allocating roughly 6–8 GB of RAM. Gameplay combines Minecraft building with Pokémon catching, battling, breeding, shops, quests and travel between themed locations.
Progression has several tracks. Jobs reward mining, farming, fishing, berry gathering, Pokémon battles and breeding. Quests provide another steady path, while arena champions and the Battle Tower test a trained team. Ranks add extra homes, claims, PC space, breeding slots, kits and command access.
The server has 80 Pokémon created exclusively for Pixelax, including fusions, type swaps, baby legendary Pokémon and special evolutions. Other custom content includes dungeon weapons and armor, Pokémon skins, decorations, TCG cards, custom biomes, Pokébuilder features and seasonal boss rewards.
Pixelax takes place in a named region with multiple cities, Pokémon Centers, shops, arenas and hidden training areas. Portoria contains important social and trading facilities, while Amboise houses the Battle Tower. Unlockable Waystones provide travel to points of interest, and the Safari and Zone Zéro offer special Pokémon encounters.
PvP is built around player arenas, ranked matches and tournaments. The region has arena champions for badge progression, while the DvD arena is used for player battles and official monthly tournaments. Competitive formats use banned Pokémon and other restrictions.
Pokédollars are used throughout the region. Pokémon Shops in the cities buy and sell resources, while the Casino lets players wager Pokédollars for prizes. Jobs, quests, dungeon rewards, raids and other server activities feed into the wider economy.
Players can join daily Colosseum raids with preparation, combat and capture phases. Café Combat offers recurring trainer battles with rewards, and the server also runs official monthly tournaments. Bosses, ranked seasons, global raids and rotating rare Pokémon add more scheduled targets.
Pixelax has a French-speaking Discord community connected to the Minecraft server and the Akimitsu Pokémon/RPG bot. The community also supports recurring activities, tournaments and server events.
Competitive formats use restrictions, including banned Pokémon and items. Players can protect chunks around their bases with the server's claim system.
The official shop sells paid ranks, keys, cosmetics, Pokémon-related products, modifications and gift cards. Paid ranks provide convenience and progression benefits such as extra claims, homes, breeding spaces, PC pages, kits, jobs and shorter cooldowns. Some shop keys and rewards can also be earned through server gameplay.

History of Pixelax
Pixelax had an established French Pokémon community by March 10, 2019, when its Discord community was created. The project combined a Minecraft Pokémon server with a wider social space and the Akimitsu Pokémon/RPG bot.
The server began in the Pixelmon era and now runs on Cobblemon. Its original Pokémon-catching focus developed into a larger RPG server with towns, progression systems, competitive battles, custom creatures and persistent player bases.
By August 2026, Pixelax was running Version 6, known as Afterbirth. This era added or featured a dedicated Safari, Zone Zéro, more than 50 custom Pokémon, arena champions, a Battle Tower, over 5,000 quests, wild and global raids, random dungeons and a full economy.
The May 29, 2026 update refined several major systems. It changed ranked battle arenas, added banned Pokémon to ranked play, improved dungeon rewards, introduced new dungeon guidance and added Pokédex indicators for Pokémon already collected.
On July 3, 2026, Version 2.2.0 added Café Combat, new baby legendary Pokémon, more boosters, Ranked Season 3, additional cosmetics and further procedural-dungeon changes. Resource resets and balance adjustments also kept the newer version moving beyond its initial launch state.
Today, Pixelax is a content-heavy Cobblemon world that mixes collection, PvE challenges, competitive battles, jobs, trading and long-term base building inside one themed region.
