DutchAbout OldKingdom
OldKingdom is a Dutch Minecraft server built around Kingdom roleplay. Survival, factions and Towny give it a social, settlement-focused shape, while PvP adds a real chance of conflict.
The server is aimed at players who enjoy older Dutch roleplay formats more than a menu of unrelated minigames. Its 2026 return keeps the focus on building a place in the kingdom, playing with other groups and mixing roleplay with combat.
What Makes It Different
OldKingdom brings back a distinctly old-school Dutch Kingdom format instead of focusing on a large stack of separate minigames. Roleplay, settlement play, factions and PvP all belong to the same experience.
Roleplay is Minecraft gameplay where players act as characters in a shared fictional world and make choices from those characters’ perspectives.
Kingdom roleplay is the server's central theme and strongest differentiator.
Factions is a Minecraft multiplayer mode where players join organized groups, build shared bases, and compete with rival groups for territory, resources, and strategic advantage.
Factions is repeatedly associated with the server's group-based gameplay.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
PvP is consistently presented as an important part of the experience.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Survival is one of the server's clearly listed core modes.
Kingdom roleplay is the main focus. Survival provides the day-to-day world, while factions and Towny support group-based settlement play. PvP adds conflict without replacing the roleplay side of the server.

History of OldKingdom
OldKingdom was running by 2016 and stayed active through 2022. Its first era was built around the Kingdom concept, with roleplay, survival and PvP sharing the same server experience.
After a multi-year break, OldKingdom returned in 2026 for a second period. The relaunch brought back the old-school mix of kingdom roleplay, factions, Towny and survival, with PvP remaining part of the server's gameplay.
Today, OldKingdom continues as a Dutch-language kingdom server for players who want a return to that style of group-based Minecraft roleplay.
