On ohboii you start at spawn with a few resources, step through the Wild sign to a random region and claim your first base with a chest or /claim. Your build world stays protected, while all the mining and gathering happens in separate farm worlds that open fresh with new Minecraft updates.
The game stays close to vanilla, with homes, an auction house and a bank that swaps diamonds for server money. The community and the whole site are in German, and the team is known for being friendly and easy to reach.
What Makes It Different
Building and farming are split: the build world is never mined out, because gathering only happens in farm worlds that are renewed with new versions.

Classic freebuild survival on Java. You pick a spot with the help of the live map, claim it, set as many homes as you need and head to the farm worlds with /fw and /fn for resources.
The server money is tied to diamonds at the bank, at ten coins per diamond. Most trading happens in the auction house, where you set your own prices.
Holidays bring decorated spawns and events, from a Halloween maze and a Spleef arena in 2023 to winter mob arenas built for groups of four.
ohboii grew out of a German gaming clan, and the server has its own forum, news page and team you can apply to join.
Hacks such as X-ray, duping, griefing, lag machines, player traps and fully automatic redstone clocks are banned. Farming is only allowed in the farm worlds, offensive skins and builds are not allowed, and each base can keep up to 50 villagers.
Most trading runs through /ah, where you hold an item and list it at your own price.
The live map shows the world and everyone's claims, which helps you find a free spot before you settle.
Place a chest or type /claim to protect your base, then grow it with a golden shovel and share it with /trust.
Voting for the server opens a vote shop in game, with a top voters ranking at /votetop.
Set as many named homes as you like, such as one for your base and one for your mine.
Mining and farming happen only in farm worlds reached with /fw and /fn, which are renewed after big Minecraft updates.
At the bank you swap diamonds for server money and back, at a fixed rate of ten coins per diamond.
Winter events added mob arenas next to spawn, the 2024 one set in an abandoned building with two arenas for groups of four.

History of [ohboii] Survival
ohboii started as a spontaneous idea when the pandemic broke out in spring 2020, first running on a PC at home. The freebuild reached its 1.0 version in May 2020, and a July 2020 update added the money system and the auction house.
In November 2020 the first building contest picked designs for a new spawn. The server celebrated its first birthday in April 2021 and its second in April 2022.
Holiday traditions grew from there: a Halloween maze and a Spleef arena in 2023, and winter mob arenas in 2023 and 2024. In October 2026 the server moved to Minecraft 26.2 and opened new farm worlds.
