About OG Network
OG Network mixes old-school Minecraft combat with several very different ways to play. The network includes an RPG-SMP, a classic survival mode, Survival Games, Challengers, and Civilizations Factions.
What Makes It Different
The server combines nostalgic 1.8-style combat with modern progression systems. Players can choose between a dangerous classic SMP, a quest-heavy RPG world, and a faction war mode built around civilizations.
Factions is a Minecraft multiplayer mode where players join organized groups, build shared bases, and compete with rival groups for territory, resources, and strategic advantage.
Civilizations Factions is a major current mode built around territory, power, and faction warfare.
An RPG server makes Minecraft revolve around developing a character through adventures, combat, and other challenges.
RPG-SMP uses classes, abilities, quests, dungeons, bosses, and enhanced gear.
Dungeons are structured Minecraft challenges where players explore connected rooms, fight hostile mobs, overcome hazards, and reach a final encounter or objective.
Dungeons are a major progression feature in RPG-SMP and Civilizations Factions.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Survival gameplay is central to the classic SMP and RPG-SMP modes.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The network prominently features both classic SMP and RPG-SMP modes.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Classic SMP, Survival Games, and Civilizations Factions all include significant player combat.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Money, Petals, shops, jobs, selling systems, and faction banks drive progression.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
The network uses custom items, cosmetics, runes, jewels, models, and non-vanilla enchants.
Players enter through a shared network hub and choose between survival, RPG, minigame, and faction experiences. RPG-SMP focuses on exploration, classes, quests, jobs, dungeons, and gear upgrades. Civilizations Factions focuses on territory, faction power, raids, bosses, and KOTH battles. Survival Games adds short matches with voted maps, changing scenarios, shops, and random events.
RPG-SMP progression comes from classes, playtime rewards, daily and weekly quests, jobs, leaderboards, custom gear, dungeons, bosses, and upgraded selling tools. Civilizations Factions uses civilization bonuses, faction power, faction cores, dungeon rewards, boss crates, KOTH prizes, and custom items. Survival Games uses levels, achievements, cosmetics, and win-based rewards.
Custom classes, abilities, non-vanilla enchantments, runes, jewels, bosses, dungeon mobs, crates, cannon blueprints, plushies, hats, holograms, virtual shulkers, custom cosmetics, and resource-pack items are part of the network's newer modes.
World design changes by mode. The classic SMP uses a large open world with separate areas for features such as AFK rooms, map art, and memorials. RPG-SMP provides protected base areas and player warps. Civilizations Factions uses custom world generation, civilization territories, faction claims, a 10,000-block Overworld and Nether border, and a world height beginning at Y0.
The classic OG SMP includes enabled PvP, griefing, and open-world conflict. Civilizations Factions uses 1.8-style combat, raiding, faction domination, and KOTH events. RPG-SMP is mainly PvE-focused; its PvP arena was removed during the 2.3 update while a more integrated combat system is developed. Survival Games remains combat-driven.
The network uses in-game money and Petals across its newer modes. RPG-SMP has an Admin Shop, PetalShop, jobs, Autosell Chests, SellWands, and carefully limited sellable items. Civilizations Factions adds faction money and TNT banks stored in Faction Cores. Older SMP seasons also featured a large player market with rentable or auctioned stalls.
Events include Survival Games tournaments, voted match scenarios, random events such as supply drops and meteor strikes, guild PvP competitions, seasonal holiday activities, anniversary celebrations, and recurring KOTH battles. Civilizations Factions also uses bug bounties and special launch events.
The community is English-speaking and organized around an official Discord, forums, in-game events, and staff support. Players can team up for faction wars, dungeon parties, guild events, and competitive minigames.
Hacked clients, autoclickers, macros, x-ray tools, exploit abuse, and unfair modifications are prohibited. Allowed client mods include performance, graphics, HUD, and approved utility mods, while features that automate actions or reveal hidden information are restricted. Staff may apply punishments for rule violations and maintain separate rules for different modes.
The official store sells ranks, cosmetics, bundles, mode-specific items, Petals, and selected crates or convenience features. The network presents itself as non-pay-to-win, while some ranks add perks such as extra homes, premium quests, quest rerolls, cosmetics, and other convenience features. Purchases are processed through Tebex.

History of OG Network
OG Network started in 2021 with a clear goal: bring back the feel of older Minecraft multiplayer while adding fresh ideas. It first focused on skill-based Survival Games and a classic SMP with PvP, griefing, raiding, and open-world battles turned on. Early projects also included an experimental tree project, guild PvP events, and the beta of Challengers.
In January 2022, the network expanded beyond Java with Bedrock support. Survival Games 2.0 arrived in March. It added voted maps and scenarios, random events, villager shops, levels, achievements, and cosmetics. A permanent classic SG lobby kept the older style of the mode, while the new features added more ways to progress.
The OG SMP was rebuilt in September 2022. Its new spawn, market, and warzone made the server more social and competitive while keeping its open-conflict roots. Later seasons added events, homes, markets, and separate feature worlds based on the same classic rules.
In December 2023, RPG Survival entered beta and moved the network toward more organized character progress. It added PvE challenges, four custom classes, improved gear, land claims, and player warps. Items and models supported by a resource pack expanded the mode with custom equipment, runes, jewels, bosses, dungeons, and cosmetics.
The network kept building its competitive games through Challengers, a 5v5 mode based on classes and abilities for casual and competitive players. Civilizations Factions created its own combat style with 1.8-based PvP. After Season 1 ended in late 2024, Season 2 was completely rewritten before its release in 2026.
RPG-SMP Season 2 launched in June 2025. Later updates added new movement and design features, rebalanced the economy and dungeons, and introduced the Arcade Unleashed update. Version 2.3 removed the RPG-SMP PvP arena while a more connected combat system was planned for the changing mode.
The RPG-SMP series continued with the 2.4 Quest Craze update in June 2026. During this time, Civilizations Factions became part of the network's newer seasonal direction. Survival Games and Challengers continued as established minigame experiences.
Today, OG Network mixes its original old-school multiplayer style with larger RPG, survival, and faction systems. Its main direction focuses on RPG SMP, Survival, and Civilizations Factions. These modes include custom content, Java-Bedrock crossplay, player conflict, character progress, and community-led play.
