Every round starts the same way: everyone is a survivor, you get 60 seconds to hide, and then the Mother Zombies are let loose. Last until the timer runs out and the survivors win. Get caught and you join the horde, playing one of more than 20 infected classes like the grappling Spider, the dive-bombing Phantom or the bat-flying Vampire.
MCInfected is a Java server in English with 1.8-style combat. Kills and infections earn cookies, which buy food, rank-ups and prestige. Season 1, Patient Zero, brings a 100-tier Outbreak Pass and a ranked ladder for survivors.
What Makes It Different
It is a full infection game built around one mode, where every death makes the other team bigger and each infected class plays very differently.

Before each round you vote on a map from a pool of more than 80. Survivors do not respawn, but the infected do, so a round can flip fast. Scorestreaks such as UAV, Care Package, Attack Dogs and Sentry reward survivors who keep fighting.
Cookies pay for rank-ups, and at Commander rank you can prestige for tokens that buy permanent perks in the prestige shop. Each infected class has its own mastery levels, and The Lab lets you unlock 20 classes just by playing, though those unlocks reset each season.
Combat uses 1.8-style mechanics since Season 1. Survivors may team up with each other, but helping the other side, like a zombie ignoring a friend, is against the rules.
The Halloween event, Spore Pod Harvest, runs until 13 November with spore pods to harvest, two bosses and the Scarecrow, Clown and Mutant classes earned through quests. A Christmas update is planned for December.
You must be 13 or older. Most offences give strikes that never expire, from a warning up to a permanent ban at five strikes. Hacked clients mean an instant permanent ban, and autoclickers or drag clicking lead to a week-long ban first.
Free to play. The store sells the Vanguard, Champion and Titan ranks, which unlock more classes and cosmetics, plus Cookie Boosters that double cookies for the whole lobby for one round. The Outbreak Pass has a free and a paid track. Purchases are final.
The Outbreak Pass has 100 tiers each season, filled by time in live rounds and a 28-quest board.
Players can spend their own cookies to put a bounty on a survivor's head.
Survivors earn scorestreaks such as UAV, Care Package, Attack Dogs, Sentry and The Nest by racking up points in a round.
Since Season 1 all fights use 1.8-style combat, so clicking speed and aim matter more than cooldowns.
At Commander rank you can reset your rank and cookies for a prestige token that buys permanent perks, with no top limit.
Each infected class has its own trick, like the Husk throwing survivors or the Summoner placing respawn beacons for the horde.
Season 1 adds a ranked ladder for survivors, and you can check your tier and rating in game.
Proximity voice works with the optional Simple Voice Chat mod, so you can hear the horde coming.

History of MCInfected
MCInfected spent the summer of 2026 in beta. The Mega Update on July 14 took it to 23 infected classes and added proximity voice chat, and on August 11 it became a network with its own hub. Scorestreaks followed on August 18.
The beta ended with a wipe on August 28, 2026, when the full release went live and beta players got crates and boosters for their old cosmetics. Season 1, Patient Zero, began on September 12 with 1.8-style combat, The Lab and a reworked Outbreak Pass. In October the Spore Pod Harvest brought the server's first Halloween event.
