About MakongMC
Makong is a combat-focused Minecraft network centered on BoxPvP. Players enter compact arenas, gather resources, improve their gear, and fight other players instead of spending most of their time in quiet survival building.
Java and Bedrock players can join the same network. Makong also uses several branded modes and seasonal systems, giving its main PvP experience a more game-like structure than plain vanilla Minecraft.
What Makes It Different
Makong puts Java and Bedrock players into the same BoxPvP-focused network. The experience feels closer to a competitive arena game than a normal survival server, with mining, upgrades, kits, and repeated fights driving the action.
BoxPvP is an enclosed Minecraft PvP mode where players gather resources and improve their combat power while fighting in the same compact arena.
Compact arenas combine resource gathering, equipment progression, and frequent player combat as Makong's main gameplay loop.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Direct player-versus-player combat is the server's central activity and determines how players use the arena and upgrades.
BoxPvP is the main way to play. Players mine resources, turn them into money or upgrades, improve their equipment, and return to the arena for more fights. The compact play space keeps encounters frequent.

Makong is built around compact PvP spaces instead of a large exploration-first survival world. Its branded lineup has included BoxPvP variants and a PlotCity mode, while the current identity remains strongly centered on boxed combat.
PvP is the central activity rather than an optional extra. Fights take place around resource gathering and gear progression, so players must balance earning upgrades with the risk of meeting opponents in the arena.
The economy follows the usual BoxPvP pattern of gathering resources, selling them, and spending the money on stronger equipment or upgrades. Keys and kits add extra reward paths alongside the regular grind.

History of MakongMC
Makong was operating by June 2024 under the makongmc.lol address. Its early lineup included BoxPvP, ClassicBox, and PlotCity, with Java and Bedrock access presented as a central part of the network.
The server developed a clear Cambodia-focused identity while keeping BoxPvP as its main attraction. Older branding also used names such as ClassicBox, OGBox, and CandleBox for related experiences.
During 2025, Makong continued using seasonal ranks, permanent ranks, keys, and kits. The store also retained older MakongMC.lol branding while the player-facing address increasingly centered on makongmc.com.
By 2026, Makong had settled around a 200-player network with support for modern Minecraft clients through version 26.2. BoxPvP and related boxed-combat modes remained the core of its public identity.
The network now combines fast PvP, resource-based progression, cross-platform access, Discord community activity, and a rotating set of named modes. Its store separates seasonal and permanent ranks from keys, kits, and other game-related purchases.
Today, Makong is best understood as a Cambodia-branded Java-and-Bedrock BoxPvP network rather than a traditional survival SMP. Its strongest appeal is quick competition with a persistent progression and reward loop.
