About Mafia City
Mafia City is a Forge-based Minecraft roleplay server built around city life, money and crime. Players take on jobs, use vehicles, work through an economy, and get pulled into raiding or war instead of a standard survival loop.
The current setup requires Java Edition, Forge 1.16.5 and the official Mafia City modpack. Cars are a major part of the custom content, with tuk-tuks, supercars and Skyline models available. Discord handles support, appeals and store help.
What Makes It Different
Mafia City turns Minecraft into a modded city roleplay game. Vehicles, jobs, money and criminal conflict matter more than ordinary survival progression.
Vehicles servers make controllable machines a central way for players to move through and interact with the Minecraft world.
Custom controllable cars, including tuk-tuks, supercars, and Skyline models, are prominent server content.
Roleplay is Minecraft gameplay where players act as characters in a shared fictional world and make choices from those characters’ perspectives.
The server is explicitly built around city life, crime-focused character activity, and player-driven conflict.
Modded Minecraft servers use game mods to add or change mechanics, content, or progression beyond the unmodified game.
Joining requires Forge 1.16.5 and the official Mafia City modpack.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Jobs, salaries, shops, banking, and server currency form a central progression loop.
The main activity is city roleplay. Players can follow job and money-making paths while using custom vehicles and taking part in crime-focused gameplay. Raiding and war add a more dangerous side to the city.
Progression is tied to jobs, salaries, shops, banking and server currency. Paid ranks and crates exist alongside the in-game economy, while vehicle ownership and custom items add longer-term goals.
Forge 1.16.5 and the official Mafia City modpack are required. Custom vehicles are a major feature, including tuk-tuks, Aston Martin, Dodge, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Nissan Skyline and other car models.
The server is built around a city setting with streets, businesses, vehicles and crime-focused roleplay rather than a purely wilderness-based survival world.
Conflict is part of the server's gameplay mix. Raiding and war are listed themes, so players looking for a completely peaceful roleplay server may find the city too aggressive.
The economy includes jobs, salaries, shops, banking and server currency. The official store also sells currency products and accepts payment in Sri Lankan rupees.
Discord is used for player support, appeals and store help. The listed team includes an owner, several administrators and staff members.
The official store sells ranks, crates, currency, cosmetics and vehicle products. Payments can be made by card, bank transfer or eZ Cash, with purchases delivered manually in-game.
Crime gameplay lets players pursue unlawful activities, criminal objectives, or illicit conflict within a themed multiplayer setting.
Mafia City centers part of its roleplay on crime, with raiding and war adding dangerous criminal conflict to city life.
City life gameplay organizes player activity around urban spaces, businesses, occupations, transportation, and social interaction.
The server presents a custom city world with streets, businesses, vehicles, jobs, banking, shops, and crime-focused roleplay.
A persistent financial storage or account system that lets players manage accumulated in-game wealth separately from ordinary spending.
Mafia City includes banking as part of its city economy, alongside jobs, salaries, shops, and server currency.
Salaried jobs provide recurring income for performing defined occupations or activities within a server’s simulated society.
Players can follow city job paths and receive salaries as part of Mafia City’s money-making progression.

History of Mafia City
Mafia City Role Play was running at play.mafiacity.fun by May 14, 2025, using a Java 1.21.1 setup. That earlier version differs sharply from the server's current client requirements.
By August 28, 2026, the server was being presented as Mafia City ENHANCED Roleplay on Minecraft 1.16.5, with Sri Lankan roleplay as its main focus.
The newer setup moved toward a custom city experience instead of plain vanilla play. Forge became required, along with a downloadable Mafia City modpack that adds the server's custom content.
The roleplay mix grew around city jobs, shops, banking, salaries, crime, vehicles, raiding and war. The result is closer to a GTA-inspired Minecraft city than a normal survival SMP.
Today, Mafia City combines that modded city setting with a Discord-led support community and a store selling ranks, crates, currency, cosmetics and cars. Store purchases are delivered manually in-game by staff.
