About Horizon’s End
Horizon’s End turns Minecraft survival into a spacefaring nation game. You build movable starships, jump between star systems, settle planets, mine asteroids, and connect bases with real industrial systems.
The server supports peaceful trade, player politics, and large-scale conflict. You can run cargo between trade cities, build factories, join a nation, defend a station, hunt hostile NPC ships, or take your own fleet into PvP.
It is a deep server rather than a quick minigame. Learning ship controls, power systems, claims, cargo, and combat takes time, but those systems give long-term projects real purpose.
What Makes It Different
Most Minecraft servers let you build a base or join a faction. Horizon’s End lets you design the vehicle, power the industry, move across a galaxy, and fight wars from orbit or on the ground.
Space servers turn Minecraft into an off-world exploration and building experience, where players travel beyond familiar terrain to establish bases and develop new settlements.
Space travel, star systems, planets, hyperspace, and starships define the server.
Geopolitical servers organize Minecraft play around player-run states that claim territory, manage borders, and compete or cooperate for influence.
Nations, alliances, trade cities, diplomacy, wars, and player-run political structures are central systems.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
The server adds custom blocks, recipes, machines, weapons, power systems, and ship components.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is a persistent survival world with resource gathering, claims, settlements, industry, and progression.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Its main experience is a shared multiplayer survival world built around player projects and communities.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
The server features ship combat, station sieges, open-space combat, and ground fighting.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Credits, cargo routes, market orders, trade cities, player markets, and manufacturing form a major progression path.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Settlements and space stations use claim systems to protect and organize player territory.
New players begin in a tutorial hub that teaches ship movement, cruising, hyperdrive fuel, warp gates, and navigation. From there, you can choose a core system, create a settlement or space station, build factories, haul cargo, mine asteroids, fight NPC ships, or work with a nation.
Experience comes from combat, daily commissions, cargo trading, and achievements. Levels unlock larger ship classes: new players start with shuttles and starfighters, while later levels open transports, gunships, corvettes, freighters, and heavier vessels. Ship choice changes how you earn money and how much danger you can handle.
The server adds movable starships, hyperdrives, jump gates, custom blocks, custom recipes, power machines, item transport, mining lasers, shields, ship weapons, power armor, and industrial multiblocks. The mechanics are designed to work with a vanilla-compatible client, while optional community tools can improve navigation.
The galaxy contains seven star systems and 18 custom planets. Asteri is the main beginner safezone, Sirius contains some of the server’s oldest settlements, Regulus is a busy travel and pirate region, and Ilios connects to major routes. Trench serves as the main mining system, while Horizon and deep-space regions offer more dangerous travel.
Ship-versus-ship combat is a major part of the server. Players can attack in open systems, siege stations, raid during wars, and fight on the ground with power armor and energy weapons. Asteri is a permanent safezone, while other regions range from protected core systems to open PvP space. Combat tagging prevents players from escaping fights through certain commands or claim actions.
Credits support claims, ships, industry, cargo, and trade. Daily commissions provide a steady starting income, while cargo crates can be moved between trade cities for profit. Players can place market orders, trade through NPC and player-created cities, sell goods in player markets, mine asteroids, and manufacture higher-value products in factories.
Player nations and cities host races, tournaments, markets, celebrations, and other local events. AI encounters also create recurring group activities for fleets hunting hostile NPC ships.
Players organize themselves into settlements, nations, alliances, trade cities, fleets, and political groups. The community supports long-running projects, diplomacy, wars, city building, technical guides, and player-created history.
Hacked clients and unfair mods are permanently banned. Exploits, alternate accounts, boosting, stolen ship designs, and griefing or theft from claimed land are prohibited. Combat tagging applies during ship and ground fights. New players receive temporary protection, and public community channels use English.

History of Horizon’s End
Horizon’s End grew from the older Minecraft space-server scene surrounding StarQuest and Star Legacy. StarQuest began in 2013, gained attention during its 2.0 era, and eventually shut down permanently in 2020. Horizon’s End continues that space-movements tradition with a new codebase and a broader nation-building focus.
By July 2022, Horizon’s End was already operating as a space survival server built around movable ships, planets, factions, economy, and warfare. Its early public identity centered on designing vessels, claiming territory, and creating settlements across a custom galaxy.
The server later developed into a persistent political sandbox. Player nations formed alliances, founded trade cities, fought wars, held races and tournaments, and created their own civic institutions. Space stations became more than storage bases: they served as capitals, trade hubs, military targets, and symbols of national power.
Its world expanded around seven star systems and 18 planets, with different systems serving different purposes. Asteri became the main protected starting area, Regulus developed into a major travel and pirate region, and Trench became the main mining system.
On September 22, 2025, an AI overhaul made NPC starships more capable. They gained better movement, threat selection, retreat behavior, target orbiting, and multiple difficulty levels, making PvE encounters more serious than simple scripted targets.
During 2026, the rules grew around the server’s increasingly complex community. New-player protection, combat tagging, abandoned assets, server-protected regions, ship ownership, and claim behavior received detailed treatment. Horizon’s End now combines a persistent space map with technical industry, ship combat, nation politics, and a large player-built historical layer.
