About HomeTownMC
HomeTownMC is a survival SMP for players who want to settle in, build something lasting, and deal with other players through a real server economy. Land claims protect projects, while cash, claim blocks, player trading, and community warps give the world structure beyond basic survival.
What Makes It Different
HomeTownMC feels more like a long-running Minecraft neighborhood than a disposable game mode. Claims, player shops, build showcases, and strict anti-grief rules make construction and community projects the center of the experience.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
Players trade goods, services, and shop offerings with one another.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Claim blocks and protected player builds are central to the server.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The official community structure identifies the server as an SMP.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is a long-running survival world.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Server cash, payments, claim-block purchases, and voting rewards are established mechanics.
Build in the survival world, protect your land with claim blocks, and use community warps to reach shared services and staff areas. The server also supports player-to-player payments and trading, so useful resources can come from other players instead of only from grinding.
Progression is open-ended rather than rank-based. Voting supplies cash and claim blocks, while earning money, expanding protected land, improving builds, and opening services for other players provide long-term goals.
The world is shaped primarily by player construction. Protected claims are central to the server, and confirmed grief can receive staff assistance and rollback support. Shared warps help connect tutorials, rules, staff information, and community destinations.
The economy uses server cash for payments and claim-block purchases. Players can pay one another, advertise shops and services, and trade through the community. Voting rewards include in-game money and additional claim blocks.
Community activities include build contests, seasonal celebrations, town-focused projects, and player build showcases. These events add social goals without replacing the main survival world.
Players can introduce themselves, share builds, trade goods and services, suggest changes, report problems, and appeal punishments. The community has remained organized around both in-game interaction and dedicated social spaces for many years.
Griefing, stealing, harassment, slurs, cheating, duplication exploits, abuse of glitches, lag-generating machines, and server advertising are prohibited. Punishments escalate with the seriousness and history of an offense, and severe violations can result in permanent bans.
HomeTownMC has an official web store for paid server perks. Regular voting also grants in-game cash and claim blocks, with additional prizes offered through top-voter competitions.
