About HexagonMC
HexagonMC turns Pixelmon survival into a long-form trainer progression. Players catch and raise Pokémon, complete the Pokédex, build on personal plots, trade through player shops, and work toward structured competitive content including player-led arenas, the Pokémon League, and the Battle Zone. Dungeons, regularly reset farm worlds, a skill system, and a 100-level Hexapass give the server more direction than a basic Pixelmon world.
What Makes It Different
The server combines open-ended Pixelmon collecting with a player-run competitive ladder. Type-based arenas lead into a Pokémon League and then the Battle Zone, where defeating the Champion unlocks larger player-led challenges and a separate GP economy. That gives collection and training a clearer destination than a purely freeform Pixelmon survival server.
Pixelmon brings Pokémon into Minecraft, letting players find, catch, train, evolve, and battle them across a block-based world.
Pixelmon is the central experience, covering Pokémon catching, training, breeding, Pokédex progression, and battles throughout the survival world.
Modded Minecraft servers use game mods to add or change mechanics, content, or progression beyond the unmodified game.
The server uses Pixelmon, custom menus, external moves, Hexa-Pension, and a custom launcher-supported modded setup.
Dungeons are structured Minecraft challenges where players explore connected rooms, fight hostile mobs, overcome hazards, and reach a final encounter or objective.
Multiple dungeon difficulties contain staged trainer groups, boss encounters, exploration, and progression rewards.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Player Pokémon battles, type arenas, the Pokémon League, and the Battle Zone form a major progression path.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
Dungeons, trainer encounters, bosses, custom areas, and exploration provide substantial combat against server-controlled opponents.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Pokédollar, Netcoins, GP, Hexatoken, admin shops, and player trading systems make currency an important supporting progression layer.
The main loop is catching, training, breeding, and battling Pokémon while exploring a shared survival world. Players can claim personal building plots, gather resources in resettable farm worlds, use player and admin shops, enter dungeons, and take on custom areas such as Zone 0. Pixelmon-specific activities include Pokémon breeding, external moves, riding, and progression through server ranks and systems.
Progress combines ordinary Pixelmon development with server-specific milestones. Players build a stronger collection, complete Pokédex goals, improve through the skill system, and advance a Hexapass with activities such as catching, breeding, crafting, mining, fishing, and farming. Dungeons provide staged PvE rewards, while arena victories lead toward the Top 4, Champion, and seasonal access to the Battle Zone.
The current server uses Pixelmon 9.3.16 with a 1.21.1 presentation, custom menus supported by a resource pack, server-specific external moves, the Hexapass, and the Hexa-Pension breeding system. Hexa-Pension lets players improve breeding through personal facilities and decorations that affect traits, experience, egg production, hidden abilities, and shiny chances.
Players receive personal freebuild plots for homes and larger builds, with farm worlds that reset regularly to keep resource gathering available. Beyond the ordinary Pixelmon landscape, HexagonMC includes custom destinations such as Zone 0, themed dungeon locations, the Pokémon League, and the Battle Zone. The world therefore supports both long-term building and directed trainer challenges.
PvP is built around Pokémon battles rather than ordinary Minecraft weapon combat. Player-led type arenas support level 50 and level 100 formats with arena-specific restrictions, followed by the Pokémon League and six Battle Zone facilities run by experienced community players. The Battle Zone adds its own challenges, shops, secrets, and GP rewards.
The economy uses Pokédollar as its standard currency for buying, selling, trading, shops, and rank-related transactions. Netcoins come from dungeons, loot sources, and voting, while GP is earned through Battle Zone content and spent in its specialist shops. Player shops let residents buy and sell items from chests, and Hexatoken is the separate real-money currency used for store products.
Voting is a recurring activity with daily rewards such as vote crates and Netcoins. Competitive content also follows seasonal progression, with arena advancement and Battle Zone access tied to the current season.
HexagonMC is primarily German-speaking and links its server, wiki, store, and Discord as a connected community. Players take active roles as arena leaders and Battle Zone specialists, while player shops and personal plots give the survival world a social, player-run layer.
Arena battles use strict type and battle restrictions. The documented rules limit effective-type Pokémon, prohibit bag items, one-hit-KO attacks, and evasion-boosting effects, and allow each arena to be challenged once per day. Individual arena leaders can apply additional rules for their battles.
Store support is voluntary. The shop sells ranks, a premium Battlepass, Hexatoken currency, cosmetics, legendary Pokémon, titles, and loot-related products. Purchases are delivered to the linked Minecraft account, and the store also sells products specifically for the Pixelmon server.
An advanced battle zone provides multiple competitive venues or challenges where players pursue stronger opponents and specialized rewards.
HexagonMC’s Battle Zone contains six player-led facilities, secrets, PokéStops, harder battles, GP rewards, and specialist shops after Champion access.
Pokémon breeding lets players produce new Pokémon offspring while pursuing desired species, traits, abilities, moves, or competitive potential.
Players breed Pokémon as part of progression, with Hexa-Pension extending breeding through facilities and decorations that affect several outcomes.
Dedicated breeding facilities provide specialized spaces, upgrades, or decorations that give players more control over breeding outcomes.
Hexa-Pension lets players build personal breeding facilities whose decorations influence traits, experience, egg production, hidden abilities, and shiny chances.
Player-run gyms are competitive battle venues operated by players who challenge others under organized rules and themed team requirements.
Arena leaders manage type gyms that form the first competitive ladder, with level 50 and level 100 battle formats.
Battle restrictions define permitted creatures, levels, items, attacks, or effects for a particular competitive ruleset.
Arena rules restrict effective Pokémon types, battle levels, bag items, one-hit-KO attacks, and evasion-boosting effects, with leaders able to add rules.
A Pokémon league is an organized long-term competitive structure connecting trainer challenges into a larger championship-oriented progression path.
After progressing through player-led arenas, trainers challenge the Top 4 and Champion; victory unlocks the current season’s Battle Zone.
A tiered activity pass provides progression rewards as players complete tasks and advance through successive levels.
The 100-level Hexapass tracks catching, breeding, crafting, mining, fishing, and farming, with free and premium reward paths.
A multi-currency economy uses several distinct resource or currency types with separate values, earning routes, and spending decisions.
HexagonMC separates Pokédollar, Netcoins, GP, and Hexatoken across standard trading, dungeon and voting rewards, Battle Zone shops, and store purchases.
A collection goal centered on discovering, catching, and recording the available creatures in a Pokédex.
Players pursue Pokédex goals alongside catching and training Pokémon, making roster completion a stated long-term progression objective.
Personal building plots provide designated, player-controlled parcels for constructing homes, bases, or creative projects within a shared world.
Players receive personal freebuild plots for homes and larger builds, while claimed spaces can also support player shops.
Dungeon bosses are powerful encounters at the end of structured dungeon content, requiring preparation and deliberate combat to defeat.
HexagonMC’s dungeons place trainer groups before boss encounters and reward successful runs with money, Netcoins, Pokémon, and loot.
Resettable farm worlds are dedicated resource-gathering areas periodically regenerated to restore access to materials and useful terrain.
Players gather resources in farm worlds that reset regularly, keeping dedicated areas available for ongoing survival and Pixelmon progression.
Competition organized into recurring seasons that provide time-bounded goals, standings, activities, or rewards for participating players.
Arena advancement and Battle Zone access follow the current season, with Champion victory granting seasonal entry to higher-tier facilities.
