About Gratopia
Gratopia is a long-term Survival SMP with Java and Bedrock crossplay. Its gameplay stays close to vanilla, but claims, skills, teams, player warps, and proximity voice chat give the world more structure.
What Makes It Different
Gratopia makes the player market matter. You can sell items to the server, but most buying happens through player shops, trades, and auctions. Prices come from what players actually produce and want.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
Player chest shops and player warps form the main buying side of the economy.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Grief Prevention claims are a major part of base protection and town building.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Player trading, chest shops, auctions, and server selling are core systems.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Survival is the server's central game mode.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is built around shared survival, building, trading, and community projects.
The main loop is survival building with a strong focus on projects, shops, and steady progress. Player warps make it easier to visit public shops, farms, and bases. Teams combine group play with shared comparisons for playtime, claimblocks, and balances.
MCMMO-style skills give regular work a long-term purpose. Playtime and voting also feed into reward tiers, while AFK rewards and crates can provide keys, coins, and in-game cash. Progress is aimed at steady effort rather than quick kits.
Custom systems include MCMMO-style skills, team progression, vote tiers, AFK rewards, crates, premium coins, player warps, leaderboards, and Simple Voice Chat proximity audio.
The server is designed for long-term survival rather than frequent resets. Claimed land protects bases, and players can trust friends, use claim flags, and build larger shared projects through team support.
PvP exists alongside the protected survival setup. A named Outpost PvP event was added during Season 2, giving players a more focused place to fight without turning the whole server into unrestricted combat.
You can sell items to the server, but the main buying side is player-run. Chest shops, trading, player warps, and the auction house connect builders, farmers, and collectors. The market works best when players create useful goods for one another.
Season 2 introduced an Outpost PvP event, an Outpost crate, the Token of Valor, and a Mysterious Trader. Seasonal features such as an advent calendar and limited crates have also appeared during the server's history.
Discord is the main place for community contact and support. Players can team up, share shops and farms, use proximity voice chat, and ask staff for help. Public player comments often praise the welcoming community and responsive support.
Players are expected to be kind and respectful. Stealing and griefing are not allowed, including in unclaimed areas. Grief Prevention claims add protection for bases, with trust settings and claim flags for shared builds.
The web store sells virtual server rewards such as ranks, tags, keys, chat colors, and coins. Coins can also come from gameplay systems including crates and playtime rewards. Store purchases are virtual items and are handled through Tebex.
