About Globeworks
Last updated
Globeworks puts you on a 1:500 map of Earth with empty borders waiting to be drawn. You start as an Explorer, join or found a town and move up to Citizen straight away. From there towns grow into nations that make alliances, open trade routes or go to war with sieges.
The team builds a lot of its own systems: book passports scanned at lecterns, toll bridges between continents and a live map that shows who is allied with whom. Java and Bedrock players share the same world, and the server is in English.
What Makes It Different
Diplomacy is part of the game: a tracker records every alliance, war and neutral pact, and the live map lights up a nation's friends and enemies when you click it.
The whole world is a 1:500 scale map of Earth.
Towns, nations, alliances and SiegeWar battles run on Towny.
One shared survival world where towns and nations keep growing.
A shop with shifting prices, an auction house, player shops and tolls.
Pick a spot on Earth, claim it with your town and build. Join a nation, set up shops and trade, or link your land to allies with bridges and tunnels.
Ranks climb from Explorer through Citizen, Mayor, Governor, Duke and King up to Emperor, unlocking perks, warps and bigger auction limits.
A Safari Net lets you catch mobs with a right-click, music changes by region, and Keep Inventory tokens earned in play save your items when you die.
The Earth map ends in rolling fog at the world border. Passports made from signed books open gates at lecterns, and intercontinental bridges and tunnels use tickets, scanners and tolls.
Wars are expected and run through Towny and SiegeWar. Using alts or bugs to swing a war is against the rules.
There is a server shop with prices that shift with demand, a buy-it-now auction house, player-run shops and leaderboards.
Outside claims normal survival rules apply, but public builds are off limits and no major griefing is allowed within 5 townblocks of a town. Chat and builds must suit a broad audience.
The store sells keys for the emerald chest at spawn, which gives a chance at rare custom gear, along with other perks.
Towns grow into nations on the Earth map, with their own borders drawn by players.
A buy-it-now auction house sits next to the server shop, whose prices move with supply and demand.
The live map shows towns and nations, and clicking a nation highlights its allies and enemies.
Keep Inventory tokens, earned through play, protect your items when you die.
Seven ranks, from Explorer to Emperor, unlock perks, warps and higher auction limits.
Bridges and tunnels between allied nations use ticket printers, scanners and toll gates.
A diplomacy tracker records alliances, wars and neutrality between nations and links to Discord.
One shared pack brings custom sounds, music and items to both Java and Bedrock players.
Wars between towns and nations are fought with SiegeWar, and staff rule on any exploit.

History of Globeworks
Globeworks began when a group of players left another SMP network and decided to build the Earth server they wanted instead. On 8 August 2026 they set a launch date, and the gates opened on 15 August.
The first weeks moved fast, with a post almost every day. A camel race ran on day three, a nation diplomacy system arrived on day five, and toll bridges came by day ten. In early September one resource pack brought custom sounds and items to Java and Bedrock alike, followed by spawners, item mail and rollercoasters.
October 2026 brought a Halloween event that changed the world, and the start of a move to Minecraft 26.3.
