About Gabbage
Gabbage keeps survival close to ordinary Minecraft: gather resources, explore, build a home, and develop a place in a small shared community. A light set of plugins adds claims, player shops, random wilderness teleporting, tree felling, homes, and a live map without turning the server into a large multi-mode network.
What Makes It Different
Its main difference is how little players need to learn before joining in. Gabbage keeps the survival format familiar, then adds practical tools such as land protection, player-run shops, simple teleportation, and a few social conveniences instead of building its identity around heavy custom progression.
Semi-Vanilla servers keep Minecraft’s ordinary survival progression while adding a limited set of server-specific changes around it.
Ordinary Minecraft survival remains the core experience, with a limited collection of claims, shops, travel, and quality-of-life plugins.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
Members can create QuickShop stores and trade items with other players through the server's shop area.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Verified players can use GriefPrevention to protect land and control building access around their bases.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server explicitly centers play on gathering resources, exploring, building, and staying alive in a shared survival world.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Gabbage is a small shared multiplayer survival world where players establish homes and develop projects alongside one another.
The main loop is standard survival with a small collection of useful commands and plugins. Players can use /rtp to reach wilderness, /tpa and /back for travel, /sit for decoration and social play, Tree Feller for faster tree clearing, and SmoothSleep to shorten the night when enough players sleep or remain AFK.
Progression is lightweight and partly tied to community participation. New guests have limited homes, Verified players can claim land and set up to five homes, and Members can use up to ten homes and create QuickShop player stores. Verification can be handled through Discord or directly with an in-game staff member, and Member status follows a few days of activity.
Custom touches include Tree Feller, which brings down an entire tree from one broken block, and HallBounties, a custom plugin connected to the Hall of Heads at /warp hallofheads. Other additions are intentionally small and can largely be ignored by players who want a familiar Minecraft experience.
Players can claim land with GriefPrevention, travel into wilderness with random teleportation, and inspect the shared world through Dynmap. The server keeps the focus on a survival world rather than splitting play across a large collection of separate modes.
PvP is allowed, but it is not a free-for-all environment. Killing is permitted when it does not become griefing, while stealing items through kills, harassment, cheating, hacking, and unwanted griefing are prohibited. Players may agree in advance to fight and exchange or take each other's items.
The economy centers on player-run shops rather than a large server-wide progression system. Members can create QuickShop stores to buy and sell items, with existing shops available at the /warp shops location.
Gabbage is built around a small, open community. It is LGBTQ+ friendly, has no whitelist, welcomes players from anywhere, and permits players to become verified without joining Discord. The official Discord remains available for server communication and account linking.
The rules prohibit stealing, cheating, hacking, griefing, racist or derogatory language, and pestering new players. Large structures near spawn or visible on the server map may be moved by staff, while consensual PvP and agreed exchanges of items are allowed.
The server provides a Patreon link for optional support. No official item shop or paid rank catalog is presented as part of the server's public setup.
Tree-felling mechanics allow players to harvest an entire tree more efficiently than breaking its logs individually.
Tree Feller brings down an entire tree from one broken block, making routine timber clearing faster.
Homes let players save personal locations and return to established bases or useful places more conveniently.
Verified players can set up to five homes, while Members can use up to ten homes.
Access tiers grant different gameplay permissions or conveniences as players satisfy verification, activity, or membership requirements.
Guests have limited homes; players can verify through Discord or staff to gain claims and five homes, while Members after active participation receive ten homes and QuickShop access.
A live world map displays an interactive overview of explored terrain, player locations, bases, or notable landmarks.
An official Dynmap is available, letting players inspect the shared world through a browser-based live map.
Random teleportation moves players to a randomly selected location, helping them reach unexplored areas without choosing exact coordinates.
The /rtp command gives players a way to reach wilderness without manually traveling from established areas.
Consensual PvP lets players opt into combat while protecting ordinary survival areas from unwanted attacks.
Players may arrange fights and agree to exchange or take items, while unapproved killing that becomes theft, harassment, or griefing is prohibited.
