About Ethereal
Ethereal is a crossplay Minecraft network built around simple Survival, Deblok, and duels. Survival keeps a mostly vanilla feel, while Deblok turns one block into a growing source of materials and money.
Java, Bedrock, and Eaglercraft players can use the same network. That makes Ethereal easy to join from many devices, while its PvP and economy systems give the otherwise simple gameplay more bite.
What Makes It Different
Ethereal feels different because it keeps Survival fairly simple while adding Deblok as a very focused money-making challenge. Few servers make it this easy for Java, Bedrock, and browser players to meet in the same place.
OneBlock is a Minecraft mode built around repeatedly mining one regenerating block to gather resources and advance through phases.
Deblok is a central one-block-style mode with generator and selling progression.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Survival is one of Ethereal's main game modes and its original identity.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server centers on shared multiplayer survival worlds.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Survival combat and dedicated duels are important parts of the network.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Deblok is built around selling materials and growing in-game wealth.
Use Survival for normal Minecraft gathering, building, exploration, and combat. Use Deblok when you want a tighter loop built around one starting block, generators, selling materials, and growing your fortune. Duels provide quick 1v1 and free-for-all fights.
Survival progression is close to familiar Minecraft: gather resources, improve your gear, build up a base, and explore farther. Deblok has a clearer ladder, moving from basic materials to generators, valuable ores, and larger amounts of in-game money.
Deblok is Ethereal's main custom mode. It expands the original one-block idea with material generators, selling systems, and a longer economic progression path.
The network uses separate Survival and Deblok spaces connected through a lobby. Survival offers a normal Minecraft world, while Deblok centers on a compact one-block-style setup rather than a standard overworld journey.
PvP is part of both the Survival experience and the dedicated duels mode. Duels support 1v1 and free-for-all matches. Survival travel can become dangerous away from spawn, so players seeking a completely peaceful building world may feel exposed.
Deblok's economy starts with selling dirt and collecting cobblestone and ore from generators. Those materials can be sold again to build wealth and improve your position. Voting also provides rewards.
The first season included a scheduled End fight and a final anarchy day before the world reset. No reliable current event calendar was established.
Discord is the main community hub. Ethereal also has a strong connection to the Eaglercraft scene, bringing browser players together with Java and Bedrock users.
Ethereal is promoted as non-pay-to-win. Voting provides in-game rewards, while no official store or current rank shop was established.

History of Ethereal
Ethereal launched on July 31, 2024, as a cracked survival server connected through ethereal.mov and Selenite-related routes. From the beginning, it was designed to welcome Java players alongside Eaglercraft users.
The first season focused on one Survival world. Early additions included trading, offhand support for older Eaglercraft clients, and special Elytra abilities. An End fight took place on August 17, 2024, and the server later moved from Easy to Normal difficulty.
By September 2024, Ethereal had become a prominent Eaglercraft destination. Staff recruitment and moderation developed through the season, while the server continued adding small quality-of-life changes without losing its vanilla base.
In late November, the team announced a full reset and a move to faster infrastructure in Finland. The final day of Season 1 became an anarchy event, with reduced protections and temporary rule changes before the world closed.
Season 2 opened on December 15, 2024. It introduced a lobby and Deblok, giving Ethereal a second main mode alongside Survival. Deblok grew from rare1k's original one-block concept and became a central part of the network's identity.
A permissions breach in January 2025 severely damaged both game modes. The affected worlds were reset, and an extended maintenance period followed. Ethereal returned in February after further repairs and another short maintenance period.
Today, Ethereal is a lightweight multi-mode network where traditional Survival, one-block economy gameplay, duels, and broad client compatibility all share the same home.
