About EarthBoundMC
EarthBoundMC turns survival into a settlement game. Players gather resources, establish towns, join or create nations, and grow their position on a real-world Earth map while trading through a gold-based economy. Towny protection and long-term community building sit at the center, with PvP and geopolitical competition adding pressure when nations clash.
What Makes It Different
The server combines Towny settlement management with a scaled Earth map, so geography gives towns and nations a recognizable place in the world. Its 1:500 map concept, gold economy, nation-focused gameplay, and emphasis on long-term community progression give it a more geopolitical feel than a standard survival server.
Players form nations, manage territory, pursue influence, and engage in diplomacy and conflict across the Earth map.
The server uses a scaled recreation of real-world Earth geography as the setting for settlement and exploration.
Town creation, protected settlement space, permissions, and town development form the core progression system.
Gold, trading, town development, and player-run commerce connect resource gathering to settlement progression.
Players gather resources, craft, explore, build bases, and survive while developing towns and nations.
The main loop is to survive, choose a location, establish a town, and build outward with other players. Towny provides settlement ownership and permissions, while nations create a larger layer for alliances, diplomacy, trade, and territorial competition. Exploration is shaped by the continent-based Earth setting rather than a conventional random survival landscape.
Progression moves from personal survival into town and nation development. Players earn gold, claim and improve settlement space, develop mcMMO skills, expand their community, and work toward a stronger regional position. TownyResources and related settlement systems give towns additional reasons to develop beyond simply protecting a base.
Beyond Towny, the server has featured TownyResources, custom fishing, Brewery, marriage, nation tags, mcMMO skills, custom HUD elements, and custom interfaces. These systems add social, economic, and progression layers without turning the server into a client-mod-dependent experience.
The world uses a custom scaled recreation of Earth, giving players recognizable continents and geographic regions to settle. The map is designed for towns and nations to occupy meaningful locations, with a live map available for viewing the world and player settlements.
PvP is tied to geopolitical competition rather than being the entire server experience. Nations can contest influence and simulate war, while the server remains aimed at players who want to build towns and communities as well as fight. It suits strategic groups more than players looking for constant arena combat.
Gold is the central in-game currency. Players can earn and spend it around town development, land, trading, and player-run shops, with Quickshops supporting direct commerce between players. The economy is intended to connect settlement growth with everyday resource gathering and trade.
EarthBoundMC is built around long-term town and nation communities, with Discord used for support and coordination. Its public messaging is aimed at players who enjoy worldbuilding, roleplay, settlement growth, and working with other players over time.
The official store sells ranks and gems. Store purchases are presented as earnable in-game, while the store also states that ranks and other offerings may change over time. The server is free to join, with paid extras handled separately through the webstore.
Gold is EarthBoundMC's central currency, connecting resource gathering and player commerce with town development, land, and settlement activity.
TownyResources gives EarthBoundMC towns additional reasons to develop beyond simply protecting a base or controlling settlement space.
EarthBoundMC provides a dedicated live map showing its custom Earth world and the settlements occupying meaningful geographic locations.
