About Departed RPG
Departed RPG turns Minecraft into a class-driven MMORPG centered on exploration and character building. Players choose from four live main jobs, develop through subclass branches and skill trees, collect custom equipment and spell cards, raise professions, and clear dungeons alone or with a party. The world is organized around Lumbridge and a growing set of custom dimensions, with roleplay features, guilds, pets, and player progression layered on top.
What Makes It Different
Departed combines several systems that are usually split between different server types. Class progression branches from a main job into subclasses and skill trees, while spell cards and custom weapons let players build a more flexible combat kit. That progression feeds into professions, party dungeons, pets, guilds, and procedurally generated dimensions rather than a single survival map.
Classes let players choose a defined gameplay role that changes how they approach combat, exploration, survival, or teamwork.
Four main jobs lead into subclasses, skill trees, and extended EX progression, making role selection central to play.
Magic servers make supernatural abilities a substantial part of Minecraft progression or combat.
Spell cards, mana-based abilities, elemental effects, Mage gameplay, and magical dimensions make supernatural powers a substantial system.
An RPG server makes Minecraft revolve around developing a character through adventures, combat, and other challenges.
The server is explicitly an MMORPG with character levels, equipment, abilities, dungeons, professions, dimensions, and authored lore.
Dungeons are structured Minecraft challenges where players explore connected rooms, fight hostile mobs, overcome hazards, and reach a final encounter or objective.
More than 20 custom dungeons provide structured combat, puzzles, secret bosses, loot, and solo or party challenges.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Custom weapons, armor, spell cards, rarities, class restrictions, statistics, and upgrade paths drive character progression.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
Monster fighting, dungeon clearing, bosses, exploration hazards, and loot collection form the server's primary gameplay loop.
Roleplay is Minecraft gameplay where players act as characters in a shared fictional world and make choices from those characters’ perspectives.
The server presents an authored story and lore through custom settings, dimensions, cutscenes, clothing, emotes, and character expression.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Twelve professions, production activities, gold, crafting, and item trading connect resource work and commerce to progression.
Combat and exploration revolve around four live main jobs: Healer, Archer, Warrior, and Mage. Each has a different role, resource pattern, and combat approach, from healing and control to ranged weapons, frontline damage, and area spellcasting. Players can run dungeons solo or in parties, fight monsters, collect equipment, explore dimensions, and use custom abilities that go well beyond ordinary Minecraft combat.
Players begin with a main job that progresses to level 40, then choose one of three subclass routes that advance to level 60. Subclasses retain earlier skill trees, while EX paths are designed to extend the routes toward level 120. Professions, equipment rarity, weapon upgrades, spell cards, pets, guilds, and leaderboards provide additional progression outside the class level.
Departed uses extensive server-created content, including class abilities, skill trees, spell cards, custom weapons, armor sets, upgrade paths, pets, mounts, emotes, dynamic skins, custom names, clothing, cutscenes, and collectible equipment. The item almanac currently exposes hundreds of equipment and item records with class restrictions, rarities, stats, and upgrade paths.
Lumbridge serves as the central setting for the server’s story and travel system. Beyond it are Hell, Magika, and other custom dimensions with different themes, hazards, resources, and layouts. The network describes more than 15 dimensions, including procedurally generated worlds, and provides a live map for the broader setting.
PvP is available alongside the server’s stronger PvE focus. The broader combat system supports player-versus-player fighting as well as monster hunting, while parties and guilds provide the main group structures for organized play.
Professions make gathering and production meaningful parts of progression. Players can mine, smelt, fish, cook, smith, use alchemy, and pursue other trades, with more than 200 dishes and specialized equipment systems listed across the current server material. Spell cards and other collectible items can also be traded between players.
The server includes arcade-style minigames, racing records, highscore boards, class releases tied to seasonal waves, and leaderboard competition for players who want shorter activities alongside the main MMORPG progression.
Players can group into parties for dungeons and monster fights, then join guilds with shared progression and rankings. The server also maintains an official Discord community, live guild listings, leaderboards, and a public map.
Departed is promoted as free to play with no pay-to-win progression. No current public shop or purchase catalog is exposed on the official website.
Custom dimensions provide additional worlds with distinct environments, resources, hazards, or progression beyond Minecraft’s standard destinations.
Players travel from Lumbridge through more than 15 custom dimensions, including procedurally generated worlds with varied themes, hazards, resources, and layouts.
Subclass paths let players branch from an initial role into specialized advancement routes with different abilities, skills, or playstyles.
After reaching main-job progression, players choose one of three subclass routes that retain earlier skill trees and advance toward higher-level EX paths.
Spell cards are collectible ability cards that grant or modify supernatural attacks, skills, effects, or combat options.
Players collect spell cards as part of their combat kit, and the cards are among the collectible items that can be traded between players.
Professions specialize players in repeatable production or gathering activities that generate resources, value, or progression.
The server offers 12 professions covering activities such as mining, smelting, fishing, cooking, smithing, woodcutting, and alchemy.
Branching progression systems that let players make lasting choices about how abilities or character capabilities develop.
Each main job and subclass uses skill trees as part of progression, allowing characters to preserve earlier abilities while specializing further.
Equipment upgrades improve existing weapons or armor by investing materials, resources, or specialized crafting processes.
Custom weapons and armor have documented upgrade paths, forming a progression layer separate from class and profession levels.
Party dungeons are structured dungeon activities designed to support coordinated groups tackling enemies, hazards, and objectives together.
Dungeons can be attempted alone or with a party, with class roles such as healer, archer, warrior, and mage supporting group combat.
Multiple equipment rarity levels that distinguish the relative value, power, or scarcity of obtainable gear.
The item almanac records hundreds of equipment and item entries with rarities, statistics, class restrictions, and upgrade paths.
Guild progression lets organized player groups develop shared advancement, identity, and competitive standing over time.
Guilds track experience, gold, levels, and rankings, with additional roster, perk, and territory details planned for the guild system.
Procedural worlds use generation systems to create or vary environments, layouts, encounters, or exploration spaces rather than relying entirely on fixed design.
Some of Departed's custom dimensions are procedurally generated, giving those destinations varied layouts and exploration conditions.
Leaderboards publicly compare player performance or accumulated progress across tracked server statistics and activities.
Departed maintains player, profession, guild, arcade, and racing leaderboards for comparing progression and activity performance.
Player trading lets participants exchange resources, crafted goods, or equipment directly or through an organized economy.
Spell cards and other collectible items can be traded between players, connecting collection and progression with player commerce.
Pets and mounts are collectible companions or rideable entities that accompany players and may provide travel, cosmetic, or utility value.
Pets and mounts are listed among Departed's server-created collectible content alongside equipment, clothing, emotes, and dynamic skins.
Story cutscenes present narrative developments through directed visual sequences that connect locations, characters, events, or quests.
Cutscenes support Departed's authored story and lore, complementing custom dimensions, character presentation, and the Lumbridge-centered setting.
Racing records track performance on timed or score-based courses, encouraging repeated attempts to improve completion results.
Racing activities appear alongside arcade content, with records and dedicated leaderboard competition for players pursuing faster results.
