About Cubeville
Cubeville centers on a family-friendly survival world where players gather resources, claim space, build alone or together, and return to lasting settlements. Separate creative plots and a Skylands area add freebuilding and hosted games, making the server a better fit for relaxed shared-world play than constant PvP.
What Makes It Different
Cubeville’s main world is built around a strong social contract. Stealing, griefing, unsolicited harm, and building too close to another player’s base are prohibited, while PvP is separated into agreed areas and organized games. The result is a protected, neighborhood-like survival world where building and cooperation matter more than defending against random attacks.
Creative is a Minecraft building mode where players construct and test structures with unrestricted access to building materials instead of gathering them through survival play.
A permanent creative world provides plots for unrestricted individual and collaborative building.
Minigames are compact Minecraft games with their own rules, objective, and bounded play area, usually resolved in a single round.
The Skylands area hosts numerous compact activities including Spleef, obstacle courses, Bowling, Bingo, and combat games.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
Survival settlements, shops, community builds, and preserved legacy maps remain available across visits.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The persistent main world centers on ordinary gathering, crafting, farming, exploration, building, and base development.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Protected regions control building space and help safeguard homes, farms, storage, and settlements.
The main survival world uses ordinary Minecraft gathering, crafting, exploration, farming, building, and base development, with protected regions and shared settlements shaping how players use the map. Creative plots provide unrestricted building, while Skylands hosts activities such as Spleef, LavaRun, Capture the Flag, Elytra PvP, Naval Battle, obstacle courses, Connect 4, Bingo, Bowling, and other compact games.
Progress is largely player-directed. Players establish a protected home, gather better resources, expand farms and storage, develop larger builds, and participate in the server economy or community settlements. The current survival world began with the CV8 reset in October 2024, giving players a shared fresh start before long-term bases and districts developed.
Server-specific content includes protected regions, custom chat channels, tutorials, sightseeing access to legacy maps, quest areas, seasonal destinations, and a collection of custom-built games. The survival world keeps ordinary Minecraft progression at its center while adding tools for protection, communication, commerce, and community building.
Cubeville combines a persistent survival world with creative, games, hub, quest, and sightseeing areas. The server preserves older maps as places to visit, including previous survival and creative worlds, while the current survival world provides fresh terrain for new settlements.
PvP is available through dedicated arenas and Skylands games rather than being an everyday survival hazard. The server lists traditional PvP, Elytra PvP, Capture the Flag, and other competitive activities, while the survival rules prohibit harming players without prior consent.
Cubes are used as in-game money. Players can earn cubes through daily quests and voting, then use market chat to buy, sell, hire, or advertise goods and services. Survival updates have also included admin shops and player shopping districts.
Cubeville runs seasonal and community events such as summer games, art slams, build battles, egg hunts, and limited-time themed islands. Some events award game coins or other in-game recognition, while others focus on player creativity and community participation.
The community is organized around family-friendly chat, local and group channels, market and minigame coordination, and a large volunteer staff structure. Players can build independently or join shared towns, cities, landmarks, shopping areas, and other long-term community projects.
The server prohibits harassment, inappropriate language and builds, advertising other servers, stealing, griefing, unsolicited player harm, exploits, x-ray, fly hacks, and other unfair advantages. Survival players are expected to leave at least 40 blocks between nearby builds unless they have permission, and Skylands games emphasize sportsmanship and their own posted rules.
Cubeville uses voluntary Patreon support rather than gameplay-advantage purchases. Published server guidance describes Patreon rewards as cosmetic, with donations used for server hardware and maintenance.
Consent-based PvP restricts player combat to agreed encounters or designated areas, reducing unwanted fighting in shared survival spaces.
Cubeville prohibits unsolicited harm in survival, separating combat into agreed encounters, dedicated arenas, and Skylands games.
Legacy map sightseeing lets players visit preserved older worlds or builds after a server transitions to newer maps.
Cubeville preserves previous survival and creative worlds as sightseeing destinations, while CV8 supplies the current fresh survival world.
Community settlements are shared player-built neighborhoods, towns, cities, or landmarks developed through collaborative long-term projects.
Players can join or create shared towns, cities, landmarks, shopping areas, and other lasting projects in the survival world.
Daily quests provide recurring tracked objectives that refresh regularly and reward players for completing specific activities.
Cubeville uses daily quests as one way to earn Cubes, alongside voting and ordinary player commerce.

History of Cubeville
Cubeville has been active since at least 2011 and has grown from a survival server into a network of connected worlds. Its long-running setup includes a protected survival map, permanent creative building, and a Skylands games area alongside the main world.
The network expanded its minigame side with a Skylands overhaul launched in March 2023. The survival side also gained new terrain and additional claim space during the 1.20 update period.
CV8 launched on October 20, 2024 with a fresh survival world, new terrain, a new creative map, and a reset economy. Older builds were preserved through sightseeing access and downloadable legacy maps rather than being discarded entirely.
