About CubeKrowd
CubeKrowd is a Java community network with several very different ways to play. Its signature mode is Missile Wars, where teams launch, ride, and defend missiles while trying to destroy the other team's portal. The network also hosts Rocket Riders, IceRunner, FishSlap, Creative, Skyblock, Survival, and newer community-made games.
Creative is built for serious plot work, redstone projects, freebuilds, and build competitions. Skyblock adds island challenges, block values, greenhouses, and rankings. Survival focuses on long-term community builds and shared projects, while the lobby includes parkour, droppers, bouncers, and other smaller activities.
What Makes It Different
CubeKrowd is one of the few networks where the official home of Missile Wars sits beside serious Creative plots, long-running Survival worlds, and a constantly changing set of community-made games.
Creative is a Minecraft building mode where players construct and test structures with unrestricted access to building materials instead of gathering them through survival play.
Creative plots, WorldEdit, redstone projects, showcases, and freebuild land are core parts of CubeKrowd.
Minigames are compact Minecraft games with their own rules, objective, and bounded play area, usually resolved in a single round.
The network hosts a broad lineup of custom games, including Missile Wars, Rocket Riders, IceRunner, FishSlap, and The Purple.
Skyblock is a Minecraft mode where players develop a floating island while gathering and multiplying scarce resources above the void.
Skyblock has its own island progression, challenges, block values, greenhouses, and rankings.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server maintains Survival worlds focused on long-term builds, farms, and community projects.
Start in the lobby and jump between modes with commands such as /mw for Missile Wars, /gl for the game lobby, /sb for Skyblock, /cr for Creative, /su for Survival, and /fs for FishSlap. The network mixes quick competitive rounds with projects that can take weeks or months to finish.
Creative players can build a reputation through showcased plots, build work, and staff-awarded ranks. Skyblock progression uses island levels, challenge tiers, greenhouses, block values, and ranked island scores. Survival is less about server-wide ranks and more about building large farms, bases, and community projects.
CubeKrowd hosts custom versions of Missile Wars, Rocket Riders, IceRunner, FishSlap, Backstabbed, Crafty Cannoneers, CubeKarts, Snowy Skirmish, and The Purple. Custom maps, challenges, greenhouses, powerups, achievements, and game modifiers are central to the network's minigame lineup.
Creative includes protected plots, WorldEdit tools, saved kits, and a freebuild area for larger projects. Survival has numbered worlds and themed seasonal maps, with older Survival1 and Survival2 worlds preserved as downloadable community history. A dedicated Dynmap covers the server's mapped worlds.
Missile Wars is team PvP built around attacking and defending portals with launched missiles. Rocket Riders expands that idea with new missiles, utility items, achievements, modifiers, and different game settings. FishSlap, IceRunner, Crafty Cannoneers, UHC events, and other minigames add more forms of direct combat.
Skyblock has its own block-value system, challenge rewards, greenhouses, and island rankings. Emeralds, hoppers, crops, and other blocks can affect island value, so efficient farms and careful island design matter.
Build competitions give players a protected plot and 48 hours to complete a themed build before experienced builders judge the results. CubeKrowd also runs UHC events and seasonal holiday games, with announcements and signups handled through Discord.
The server has an official Discord, account-linking tools, build and developer applications, bug reports, suggestions, recognition forms, and rank information for Member, Respected, and Veteran players. Building, map creation, redstone, and community projects are treated as important parts of the server rather than side activities.
Public chat is English-only and must remain free of spam, excessive caps, harassment, discrimination, NSFW content, advertising, and personal information. Hacked clients, unfair macros, bug abuse, team griefing in minigames, and unsafe Skyblock warps are prohibited. Skyblock also forbids griefing, stealing, unsafe mob or item traps, and projectile attacks on other islands.
Joining is free. The store sells premium perk packages, animated emote faces, and hub pets. CubeKrowd presents its paid options as non-pay-to-win support for server costs and development.

History of CubeKrowd
CubeKrowd was running by December 6, 2014. It grew from a merger between JL2579's fan server and Cubehamster's fan server, bringing both communities under one network rather than keeping their projects separate.
Creative building and creator-made minigames became important early parts of the server. Missile Wars, created by SethBling and Cubehamster, became CubeKrowd's defining game. CubeKrowd hosted the original game during development and was its first public server host.
Skyblock also developed into a long-running part of the network. Its first setup used uSkyBlock, followed by an April 1, 2015 move to ASkyBlock and a world reset. The mode kept its own challenges, island progression, block values, greenhouses, and ranking systems.
Survival expanded through several numbered worlds and themed seasons. Survival2 worlds included Amplified, Ocean Sky, Underground, Biome Bundle, The Dark Side, Upside Down, Vanilla Tweaks, Underworld, Mountain Lake, and a Terralith-based world running from August 2023 into February 2024.
In January 2020, Skyblock moved from ASkyBlock to BentoBox and BSkyBlock. The conversion transferred 18,201 islands and 29,144 player records while rebuilding challenges, greenhouses, block values, island homes, and completion data around the newer system.
The network continued refreshing its shared spaces. A major Game Lobby rebuild in 2023 added new parkour courses, advancements, and updated scenery. CubeKrowd then moved to Velocity in October 2025 as its proxy infrastructure, alongside continued updates for newer Minecraft releases.
In August 2026, The Purple joined the minigame lineup. It uses alien-themed maps, artifacts, infection mechanics, spectator interaction, and possible re-entry instead of removing players permanently. CubeKrowd now combines its long-running Creative, Survival, and Skyblock worlds with a rotating collection of original and community-built games.
