GermanAbout Craftergang
Last updated
Craftergang is a German community built around CityBuild. You claim your own plot, build a house and earn Crafts, the server money, by taking jobs from the villager at spawn, trading spare blocks or collecting daily rewards. There are two CityBuild worlds, Desert and Wildnis, plus a farm world for gathering.
Between builds, the server runs its own games. In GetDown Reloaded you drop down three courses of lucky and unlucky blocks before a final fight. Welt-Untergang throws levelled monsters and bosses at you, and one death sends you back to the start. SkyPvP, MLGRush and OneHit cover quick fights. Java and Bedrock players share the server.
What Makes It Different
Many of the modes are made by the team itself, like GetDown Reloaded and Welt-Untergang, and the community has been running since December 2013.
The main mode: your own plot, a house to build and Crafts to earn.
A jobs villager at spawn pays you for mining, farming, hunting and more.
GetDown Reloaded, MLGRush, OneHit, SuperBreakBlocks and more next to CityBuild.
Crafts earned from jobs, trades and rewards, with a bank to save them.

CityBuild is the main mode: claim a plot, build, and earn Crafts. Around it sit minigames such as GetDown Reloaded, SkyPvP, MLGRush, OneHit and SuperBreakBlocks, and the Welt-Untergang monster mode.
SkyPvP drops you on a main island and four smaller ones with a stone axe and a leather chestplate, and you gear up from signs. GetDown Reloaded ends in a fight where you spend the coins you collected on armor and potions.
Crafts are the server money on CityBuild. You earn them from jobs like Miner, Farmer, Hunter and Vampire, by selling spare blocks to a trade NPC, and from daily and playtime rewards, and you can keep them in a bank.
The team has been around for more than ten years and posts updates on its wiki. Players can apply for roles such as builder, supporter, moderator and designer.
On CityBuild you claim your own plot with one command and build your house on it.
Welt-Untergang ends in strong bosses you can only beat after levelling your gear on weaker monsters.
A shop NPC at spawn sells resource blocks, beacons, spawners, rank books and event items for Crafts.
CityBuild sits next to a long list of homemade games, from GetDown Reloaded to SkyPvP and MLGRush.
The wiki lists extra crafting recipes for CityBuild Desert, CityBuild Wildnis and the OneBlock dimension.
A farm world, reached from the warp menu, lets you gather blocks without digging up the CityBuild worlds.
The jobs villager at CityBuild spawn offers Miner, Farmer, Skiller, Hunter and Vampire jobs that pay out in Crafts.

History of Craftergang
Craftergang started with a few friends in November 2013. On 26 December 2013 the first survival server opened with 30 slots, free for anyone to join.
In June 2014 OneInTheChamber arrived as the first real game mode, an everyone-against-everyone fight. In February 2015 the team moved hosts and, after players asked for it, started building for Bedrock. That took more than a year, and the Bedrock server opened in June 2016.
On 26 December 2023 the team marked ten years with a look back on its wiki. The work goes on in 2026: an AFK reward system came to CityBuild Desert in May, and a beta for CityBuild Wildnis was announced in September.
