About Cosmic Craft
Cosmic Craft is a broad Java network built around survival, Factions, Towny, SkyBlock, MCMMO, and a large set of minigames. Its lineup has included Survival Games, Prop Hunt, Battle Arena, Spleef, Paintball, Mob Arena, and Team Fortress-style play.
Survival and faction players get the slower, longer grind of MCMMO skills, group play, and economy systems. Players who prefer shorter matches can move into dedicated minigame modes without leaving the network. The webstore also offers MCMMO upgrades and gift cards.
What Makes It Different
Cosmic Craft feels like an old-school all-in-one network rather than a server built around one mode. Its unusual mix is the combination of MCMMO-heavy survival and faction play with a long list of separate minigames.
Factions is a Minecraft multiplayer mode where players join organized groups, build shared bases, and compete with rival groups for territory, resources, and strategic advantage.
Factions and specifically McMMO Factions are repeatedly associated with the exact network.
Minigames are compact Minecraft games with their own rules, objective, and bounded play area, usually resolved in a single round.
The network has a broad collection of named minigames, including Survival Games, Prop Hunt, Spleef, Paintball, and Mob Arena.
Skyblock is a Minecraft mode where players develop a floating island while gathering and multiplying scarce resources above the void.
SkyBlock is included in the network's official and directory-based mode descriptions.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Survival is one of the network's central modes and is directly included in the official network description.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Economy is listed as a network mode and supports the survival/faction progression model.
Players can choose between survival-style modes and quick minigame sessions. Factions and Towny support group-based world play, while SkyBlock offers a separate island-focused route. The minigame lineup has included Survival Games, Prop Hunt, Spleef, Paintball, Mob Arena, and Battle Arena.
MCMMO is the clearest long-term progression system. Skill levels and tiered MCMMO upgrades give survival players a reason to keep grinding. Factions and Towny add group progression through shared territory and projects.
MCMMO progression and the network's collection of plugin-based modes are the clearest custom layers. Prop Hunt, Mob Arena, Battle Arena, and Team Fortress-style play sit alongside the survival systems.
The network divides its gameplay between survival-style worlds, faction and town areas, SkyBlock islands, and separate minigame arenas. The result is a wider range of world play than a single-world SMP.
PvP appears in several parts of the network instead of one isolated arena. Faction play can bring combat into survival gameplay, while Battle Arena, Survival Games, and other PvP-focused modes provide shorter fights.
Economy is part of the network's survival and faction lineup. The official webstore sells tiered MCMMO upgrades and gift cards. Purchases require the player to be in survival mode, and usernames must use exact capitalization.
The Cosmic Craft Discord is used for community contact and store support. The network has also recruited staff and builders for its McMMO Factions mode.

History of Cosmic Craft
Cosmic Craft was running by September 6, 2013, when the network appeared in Minecraft server directories under its Cosmic Craft branding.
By the late 2010s, it had grown beyond a single survival server. Its public lineup included Factions, SkyBlock, Creative, Prison, Towny, Survival Games, PvP modes, and several compact minigames. The network also supported non-premium Java access during this period.
McMMO Factions became a notable part of the network's survival offering. In October 2021, staff and builder recruitment was specifically tied to the McMMO Factions server, showing that this mode remained an important development area.
The broader Cosmic Craft project later became more technically organized. Its official GitHub organization published repositories for the network website, hosting panel, server control plane, and related deployment tools.
In 2026, that development work was still active, while the Minecraft network continued using the Cosmic Craft name and the mc.cosmicmc.net connection address. The server now presents itself as a multi-mode Java network combining survival progression with Factions, Towny, SkyBlock, MCMMO, and classic minigame formats.
