About Cherry Block
Cherry Block keeps survival close to normal Minecraft while smoothing out the rough edges. The server adds small quality-of-life features, supports both Java and Bedrock, and uses keep inventory to make mistakes less punishing.
The mood is calm and social rather than competitive. Players build, explore, work on technical projects, and meet through a friendly English-speaking community. Griefing, stealing, hacking, and cheating are not allowed, and community events give the server more to do than a completely solitary survival world.
What Makes It Different
Cherry Block focuses on the parts of vanilla survival that many players like, then removes some of the everyday friction. It feels more like a shared long-term world than a competitive network, while Java and Bedrock players can play together.

Progression follows the familiar vanilla survival path instead of using a large class, rank, or quest system. The long-term goals are player-made: better equipment, larger builds, useful farms, and stronger connections with nearby players.
Custom content stays light. The server uses quality-of-life additions, including features inspired by Vanilla Tweaks, without replacing the familiar vanilla survival feel.
Cherry Block uses a normal survival world rather than a minigame hub. Spawn locations have changed over time, so some arrival areas can feel quiet and natural. Established towns and larger builds are found closer to the central parts of the map.
PvE is the main focus. Community rules prohibit griefing and stealing, so Cherry Block is not built around open raiding or constant fights.
The community runs two events each month, giving players regular reasons to meet outside their usual building and survival routines.
The community is English-speaking, friendly, and centered on relaxed social play. Discord is the main place for conversation, announcements, support, and meeting other players. The community also includes players from different parts of the world.
Be kind and treat other players fairly. Griefing and stealing are prohibited. Hacking and cheating are also prohibited.
Cherry Block requires a premium Minecraft account. Cracked clients are not allowed.

History of Cherry Block
Cherry Block was established as a Minecraft community in 2019. Its associated Discord community dates to May 6, 2019, and the server has kept the same broad focus on friendly survival play.
By June 2023, Cherry Block was presented as a semi-vanilla server running Minecraft 1.20.1. The design already centered on a normal survival experience with quality-of-life changes inspired by Vanilla Tweaks, rather than large custom systems or a separate minigame network.
The server continued through the 1.21 era while retaining its relaxed SMP format. Public announcements in 2025 described Java and Bedrock crossplay, a 25565 Bedrock port, and a community that had been active since 2019.
During 2026, the advertised versions moved through the 1.21 releases and reached the Cherry 26.2 version label. The world also developed a more lived-in layout: spawn locations have been moved around the map, while older towns and player builds are concentrated closer to the central areas.
Today, Cherry Block remains an enhanced-vanilla survival server with cross-platform access, light QOL additions, keep inventory, community events, and rules aimed at protecting player builds and possessions.
