About CounterMine 2
CounterMine 2 turns Minecraft into a CS2-style competitive shooter. Join 5v5 or Deathmatch matches, buy weapons, plant or stop the bomb, and fight through familiar maps such as Dust II, Inferno, Cache and Anubis.
Gunplay matters more than diamond gear. Recoil, spread, grenades and wall penetration shape every round, while a custom HUD, radar, animations and weapon skins make the blocky world feel like a tactical shooter. You can play from a normal Java client without installing mods.
What Makes It Different
CounterMine 2 does not merely add guns to survival Minecraft. It rebuilds the feel of a tactical shooter, including recoil, wall penetration, grenade play, bomb rounds and recognizable Counter-Strike maps. The entire experience runs without client mods.
Arena gameplay puts players into bounded battlegrounds for discrete fights or challenges, with each bout ending in a win, loss, elimination, or completed objective.
Players fight in compact objective-based maps and match arenas.
Competitive Minecraft gameplay centers on outperforming other players in contests with a clear winner, score, or relative result.
Team rounds, Prime progression, objectives and tactical combat are central to the experience.
Minigames are compact Minecraft games with their own rules, objective, and bounded play area, usually resolved in a single round.
The server is built around standalone competitive matches rather than survival gameplay.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Player-versus-player shooting is the defining activity.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Custom weapons, agents, skins, graffiti and cases materially shape the server.
Matches use team-based shooter rules instead of normal Minecraft survival. Players choose weapons, use grenades, read the radar and fight around bomb sites or other objectives. Five-versus-five and Deathmatch are established modes, and players can use a party system with friends.
Players earn XP while playing. Beginners start with a smaller map and mode selection. Reaching Prime expands access to modes such as Defuse and Hostage. Prime is a gameplay milestone rather than a paid matchmaking upgrade.
Custom content includes weapon and player models, first- and third-person animations, a minimap, radar, inventory interface, HUD widgets, C4 indicators, firing-mode displays, sound effects, agents, weapon skins, graffiti and cases. An optional mod pack exists, but the server is designed to be playable without client mods.
The server uses compact competitive arenas rather than a persistent survival world. Its map list includes Dust II, Vertigo, Train, Cache, Anubis, Rialto, Boyard, Chalice, Hive, Short Cobblestone and Short Dust. Maps are designed around familiar routes, timings and grenade positions.
Combat rewards aim, movement, recoil control and smart grenade use. Bullets can penetrate some surfaces, and the block material affects how shots pass through cover. Smoke, flashes, C4 timing and map knowledge matter in team fights.
Rounds use a buy-and-sell system for weapons and equipment. Outside matches, the server has a separate collection economy built around cases, agents, weapon skins, graffiti, operations and battle-pass rewards.
Operations and limited content drops add themed agents, cases, graffiti and battle-pass rewards. Development updates also bring map remakes, sound changes, interface improvements and combat fixes.
CounterMine 2 maintains Discord and Telegram communities for announcements, feedback and player support. Community language coverage includes English, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Dutch and Ukrainian.
Paid content centers on operations, battle passes, cases, agents, weapon skins and graffiti. A free battle pass is also available, while the paid track adds more currency, cosmetics and exclusive content.

History of CounterMine 2
CounterMine began as an experimental Minecraft recreation of Counter-Strike. A May 2025 video showed an early 0.1 alpha build, with custom weapons and a shooter-focused interface already forming the project's identity.
By September 2025, the project was publicly associated with play.cherry.pizza and Minecraft 1.21.7. The early version was still developing, but its central promise was clear: bring familiar Counter-Strike maps and gunplay into Minecraft without requiring a separate modded client.
The public launch period arrived in December 2025. The project settled around the CounterMine 2 name and the CherryPizza web brand, then moved toward a more complete match structure rather than a simple weapons showcase.
During early 2026, the server expanded its competitive progression. New players received a smaller starting map and mode pool, while earning XP toward Prime opened broader match types such as Defuse and Hostage. Five-versus-five and Deathmatch became the main ways to learn the mechanics and practice aim.
The map and combat systems continued to receive detailed work. Dust II, Vertigo, Train, Cache, Anubis, Rialto and other recognizable arenas were rebuilt in Minecraft, with attention to timings, grenade lineups, recoil, spread and wall penetration.
Later updates added more custom models, first- and third-person animations, weapon firing modes, HUD widgets, C4 indicators, improved sound, smoke behavior and hit registration. Cache received a major remake, while Inferno and Anubis received performance and gameplay fixes.
The project also grew beyond matches into a collection layer built around agents, weapon skins, graffiti, cases, operations and battle-pass rewards. Today, CounterMine 2 is a Java-only tactical minigame server that focuses on familiar shooter rules, custom presentation and quick access from an unmodded client.
