About BorderMC
BorderMC turns Towny survival into a player-made political sandbox. Players establish towns on a custom non-Earth map, gather resources, build settlements, form pacts, and compete for land without being locked into preset continents or conventional nations.
What Makes It Different
BorderMC replaces the usual Earth map and nation system with a custom world and pacts between towns. Its overclaiming system uses king-of-the-hill-style contests, giving territorial PvP a direct role in the growth and defense of settlements.
Geopolitical servers organize Minecraft play around player-run states that claim territory, manage borders, and compete or cooperate for influence.
Player-run towns, pacts, borders, alliances, and territorial competition create an explicitly political sandbox.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.
Towns, claimed land, settlement growth, permissions, and territorial development form the server's central gameplay structure.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Town establishment and claimed territory determine settlement control, expansion, defense, and overclaiming conflicts.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players gather resources, build settlements, expand territory, and progress through a shared survival world.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Player combat is used for territorial contests, raids, defense, and pressure between competing towns.
Players gather resources, establish towns, claim land, build settlements, and decide how closely to cooperate with neighboring groups. Towns can use pacts for broader alliances, while conflict, defense, raids, and territorial pressure give the survival world a political edge.
Progression centers on growing a town, developing its territory, improving its position within a pact, and accumulating the resources needed to defend or expand. The server also uses an economy and town-focused systems to give long-term building and cooperation practical goals.
The main custom systems are pacts and a tailored overclaiming mechanic. Pacts replace the usual Towny nation structure with different leadership models, while overclaiming creates a direct contest for disputed territory.
The world uses custom terrain instead of a real-world Earth map. There are no preset continents, forced town or pact naming conventions, or strict terraforming rules, so players have more freedom to shape the geography around their settlements.
PvP is tied to territory rather than being an isolated arena activity. BorderMC's custom overclaiming system lets attackers contest land through king-of-the-hill-style fights, making preparation, defense, alliances, and timing important when towns come under pressure.
An in-game economy supports the settlement game by giving players and towns another way to trade, fund expansion, and manage resources. Voting also provides vote-chest rewards through the server's listed vote sites.
BorderMC promotes recurring community activities, including Discord-based events and an F1-style ice boat racing event with teams and championships.
The Discord community is used for support, discussion, events, staff applications, and player projects. Community-made projects can be submitted for public showcase, giving builders and organizers a place to highlight their work.
Players must follow server, Discord, store, and staff rules. Cheating, unauthorized automation, exploits, harassment, hate speech, spam, malicious links, impersonation, attacks against the service, punishment evasion, and payment abuse can lead to restrictions or bans.
BorderMC sells digital ranks, cosmetics, perks, and related products through a Tebex store. Premium perks are presented as cosmetic or having minimal gameplay impact rather than providing pay-to-win advantages.
Territorial overclaiming is a conflict mechanic that lets groups contest and potentially take control of land held by others.
BorderMC's custom overclaiming system uses king-of-the-hill-style contests, making direct territorial control a focal point of attacks and defense.
Pacts are organized alliances that connect separate player settlements for shared coordination, protection, leadership, or political goals.
BorderMC uses pacts instead of conventional Towny nations, with multiple leadership models including defensive, founder-led, sovereign, and voting-oriented structures.
King-of-the-hill contests make control of a designated area the objective, rewarding the side that maintains possession against challengers.
BorderMC applies this contest format to overclaiming, turning disputed town territory into a direct timed-style struggle for control.
A custom non-Earth map provides an original world layout rather than reproducing real-world geography or preset continental boundaries.
BorderMC uses custom terrain without preset continents, allowing towns and pacts to shape settlements around an original world.
Player-shaped terrain gives communities broad freedom to develop or alter the surrounding landscape around their settlements and projects.
BorderMC promotes player freedom to shape geography around towns and does not impose strict terraforming rules.
Town leadership models define how settlement or alliance authority is organized, distributed, and exercised by participating players.
BorderMC's pact system supports distinct defensive, founder-led, sovereign, and voting-oriented leadership concepts.
Competitive racing using boats across ice courses, where route control, movement precision, and finish times determine results.
BorderMC promotes an F1-style ice boat racing event with teams and championships as part of its community activities.
