About Viking Factions OG
Viking Factions OG keeps the old Factions formula: build with a team, protect your territory, gather power, and prepare for raids. It runs on modern Minecraft while using custom-coded 1.8-style combat, so sword fights and potion PvP feel closer to classic factions than current vanilla combat.
What Makes It Different
The server runs modern Minecraft with deliberately restored 1.8-style combat. Its faction gameplay also leans into cannoning and base raids instead of soft, mostly peaceful survival.
Factions is a Minecraft multiplayer mode where players join organized groups, build shared bases, and compete with rival groups for territory, resources, and strategic advantage.
Faction warfare, bases, territory, and raiding are the server's central gameplay.
Raiding is attacking another player’s base to breach its defenses, reach its valuables, and weaken or destroy its ability to operate.
Cannoning, base attacks, and a dedicated Bunkers world make raiding a defining feature.
mcMMO is a Minecraft server skill system that grants experience for activities such as mining, chopping trees, fishing, and fighting.
MCMMO is part of the advertised long-term progression.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.

The network includes custom terrain, a dangerous warzone, dungeon areas, and a dedicated Bunkers world focused on base raiding. Different areas serve exploration, PvE, faction building, or open combat.
Combat uses custom 1.8-style mechanics on a modern Minecraft version. Duels provide controlled fights, while KOTH and the warzone create contested objectives. Totems, end crystals, respawn anchors, and the mace are excluded from the advertised combat setup.
The economy includes a main shop, auction house, bounties, casino features, and player-facing sign shops. Money also appears in paid rank packages as starter currency and recurring money-kit rewards.
King of the Hill battles, duels, dungeon runs, and other PvP activities give factions reasons to leave their bases and contest shared objectives.
Discord is the main community and support hub. The server is aimed at competitive Factions players, PvPers, cannoners, and groups that enjoy organized rivalry.
An anti-cheat system is part of the server setup. The advertised combat rules remove several modern high-impact items, including totems, end crystals, respawn anchors, and the mace.
The store sells ranks, cosmetics, and crate keys. Ranks include utility perks such as extra homes, workbench and anvil access, /feed, /nick, /back after death, and in-game money, so purchases provide more than visual rewards.
