About StatesMC
StatesMC turns survival into a contest between player-built nations. Players gather resources, form factions, claim chunks, craft firearms and technology, then use diplomacy, alliances, and open combat to defend or expand their territory. The server remains playable from a normal Minecraft client without mods, with its current identity centered on geopolitical warfare rather than minigames.
What Makes It Different
The defining twist is the custom gun system. Animated firearms, grenades, and ballistic combat work without requiring a client-side mod, shifting faction warfare away from standard sword exchanges and making claims, fortifications, sabotage, and coordinated attacks central to survival.
Geopolitical servers organize Minecraft play around player-run states that claim territory, manage borders, and compete or cooperate for influence.
The current experience centers player nations, diplomacy, alliances, territorial competition, and wars across one shared map.
Factions is a Minecraft multiplayer mode where players join organized groups, build shared bases, and compete with rival groups for territory, resources, and strategic advantage.
Players form factions, build shared bases, recruit allies, claim territory, and compete against rival groups.
Raiding is attacking another player’s base to breach its defenses, reach its valuables, and weaken or destroy its ability to operate.
Attacking defended faction bases and breaching rival territory are intended parts of the server's PvP loop.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Player combat is the main attraction, spanning faction skirmishes, defensive battles, raids, and nation-scale wars.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Custom animated firearms, grenades, and related equipment substantially change combat beyond ordinary Minecraft items.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Faction members claim chunks that protect building and block breaking, making territorial control central to defense and expansion.
Players build up a faction or nation, secure territory with chunk claims, gather materials, and prepare an arsenal before choosing whether to trade, negotiate, raid, or fight. The server combines ordinary Minecraft survival with custom firearms, technology, and player-led political conflict.
Progression is driven by building a stronger faction rather than climbing a conventional minigame ladder. Players improve their base, secure claimed land, gather the materials needed for weapons and equipment, recruit allies, and turn political influence into military strength.
Custom content includes animated firearms, grenades, a ballistic combat system, and technology beyond ordinary vanilla survival. These systems are delivered without requiring players to install a client-side mod.
The server uses a shared world and supports nation-building across a broad territory. A dedicated live map is linked for following the current landscape, faction locations, and territorial development.
PvP is the main attraction. Combat includes raids, faction skirmishes, defensive battles, and larger wars between player nations. Claimed territory shapes where fights happen, while base design, internal access, positioning, and coordinated firepower affect whether an attack succeeds.
Discord is the main community hub for finding factions, coordinating alliances, getting updates, and following season changes. The server is most suited to players who enjoy organizing with others instead of playing entirely alone.
Faction claims protect building and block breaking inside claimed chunks, while raids and open PvP remain part of the game. Explosions can still matter, and attackers may need to eliminate faction members or gain internal access before breaching a defended base.
The official site links Patreon as a way to support the server.
Ballistic combat makes ranged engagements depend on projectile behavior, accuracy, impact, and positioning rather than ordinary melee exchanges.
StatesMC uses a custom ballistic system for animated guns, making firearm engagements distinct from standard Minecraft sword combat.
Gun crafting lets players create firearms through server-specific recipes, materials, or progression systems.
Players gather materials and craft custom firearms as a central part of preparing for faction warfare.
Base infiltration is gaining entry to a defended player stronghold to reach protected interiors, areas, or objectives.
Claimed chunks protect normal building and block breaking, so attackers may need internal access or to eliminate defenders before breaching a base.
Diplomatic alliances are negotiated relationships between player groups that support cooperation, mutual interests, agreements, or coordinated action.
Players use diplomacy and alliances to coordinate factions and nations before or during large-scale conflicts.
Grenades are throwable explosive combat items that create area damage, pressure, or tactical disruption during player encounters.
Grenades expand StatesMC's custom arsenal with explosive options for attackers and defenders in territorial battles.
Players can join using an otherwise standard Minecraft client without installing gameplay-changing client modifications.
StatesMC delivers animated guns, grenades, and technology through server-side systems without requiring client-side mod installation.

History of StatesMC
StatesMC was publicly described in December 2024 as a semi-vanilla survival server combining unusual terrain, guns, technology, exploration, and progression. By January 2025, its public identity had shifted toward factions and PvP, with chunk claims, custom firearms, and nation-scale warfare at the center.
That direction continued into 2026. A new season was recorded in May 2026, followed by a June 2026 launch trailer presenting the current server around geopolitics, alliances, nations, and large-scale gun battles on one shared map.
