Skillz

mcMMO adds skill levels and longer-term goals beyond normal equipment upgrades. The economy gives players another path forward through trading and resource value. Yearly survival resets make each season a fresh progression cycle.

mcMMO is the clearest custom progression system associated with Skillz. No stronger evidence supports a large custom-item or custom-gear system.

Survival has used multiple named worlds, including Patat and Wortel. The Nether and End are shared spaces where players may not claim exclusive ownership, even though griefing there is still forbidden.

Direct player-versus-player combat is disabled on the main network. Attacking or killing players, including attempts to bypass the PvP restriction, is prohibited. Competitive combat has appeared in specially organised events such as Cakewars.

An economy is part of the network, with player trading governed by anti-scamming rules. Scamming is punishable, and Skillz items cannot be exchanged for outside ranks, money or other external rewards.

Skillz has hosted community events, including a team-based Cakewars tournament. The 2023 event used four-player teams, cake protection, island generators and beacon control, with prizes tied to the final standings.

The community is primarily Dutch-speaking and closely connected to Skillz summer camps in Belgium. Discord is available for player conversation and support, with access restricted to users aged 13 or older.

Chat rules cover spam, harassment, impersonation, threats, advertising and racism. Gameplay rules prohibit scamming, inappropriate builds, stealing, griefing, unauthorised PvP, exploits, hacked clients, lag machines and outside trading. Nether and End builds remain shared, but destroying them is still forbidden.
