About Shotbow
Shotbow is a network of original Minecraft games joined through one lobby. MineZ sends you into a dangerous zombie world, Annihilation puts four teams into a fight over their Nexuses, and SMASH turns combat into a fast knockback arena game.
The network feels different because its main games are built around their own rules, items, maps, and progression. You can plan a long MineZ journey, coordinate a team attack in Annihilation, or jump into a short SMASH match without leaving the network.
What Makes It Different
Shotbow's main games do not feel like simple copies of vanilla Minecraft. MineZ creates tension through survival and danger, while Annihilation mixes mining, building, classes, and team warfare in one match.
Adventure servers center Minecraft play on exploring a designed world and completing objectives that lead to new areas, encounters, or story developments.
MineZ combines exploration, survival, lore, dungeons, and long-form travel.
Classes let players choose a defined gameplay role that changes how they approach combat, exploration, survival, or teamwork.
Annihilation's class system is a major part of its strategy and progression.
Minigames are compact Minecraft games with their own rules, objective, and bounded play area, usually resolved in a single round.
Shotbow is a multi-game Minecraft network centered on several distinct custom modes.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Annihilation, SMASH, and MineZ all include important player-versus-player combat.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
MineZ is built around zombies, giants, dungeons, and other hostile encounters.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
MineZ, Annihilation, and SMASH all use custom equipment or special items.
Dungeons are structured Minecraft challenges where players explore connected rooms, fight hostile mobs, overcome hazards, and reach a final encounter or objective.
MineZ contains many difficult dungeons with custom mechanics and rare rewards.
Start in the Shotbow lobby and choose a game. In MineZ, search towns and ruins for food, water, weapons, armor, and healing items while fighting zombies and other players. In Annihilation, join a team, gather materials, select a class, build defenses, and destroy enemy Nexuses. In SMASH, fight on small arenas and knock opponents into the void.
Shotbow XP is earned by playing and can be spent in game-specific shops. Annihilation has unlockable classes, ranks, cosmetics, and leaderboards. MineZ uses achievements, loot progression, legendary items, and dungeon rewards. SMASH uses matchmaking and ELO-style ranked play.
Shotbow's games rely heavily on custom systems. MineZ includes thirst, infection risks, custom zombies, giants, legendary equipment, dungeon mechanics, supply drops, and special loot tables. Annihilation includes classes, Nexus phases, team shops, bosses, custom abilities, and map-specific mechanics. SMASH adds double jumps, grabs, special attacks, weapons, traps, and destructible arenas.
MineZ takes place in a large persistent wasteland filled with towns, military sites, ruins, caves, dungeons, bosses, and hidden lore. Players can use the dedicated MineZ map to plan routes and locate important areas. Annihilation and SMASH use separate match maps designed around their combat systems.
PvP is central to Annihilation and SMASH. MineZ is also dangerous because other survivors can attack you while you travel, loot, or enter a dungeon. Annihilation rewards teamwork, timing, base defense, and coordinated Nexus attacks. SMASH rewards movement, knockback control, grabs, and quick reactions.
The network uses Shotbow XP as its shared in-game currency. XP can unlock classes, MineZ starting items, cosmetics, pets, particle effects, and other game-specific rewards. MineZ also has a loot-driven player economy built around rare weapons, armor, potions, and dungeon items.
Shotbow runs seasonal content and community competitions. Recent examples include the Annihilation 2026 Tournament, Annihilation Summer Festival events, MineZ Wonderland, MineZ Spookfest, supply drops, and themed dungeon rewards.
Players can use the Shotbow forums and Discord for announcements, support, team planning, clan activity, event organization, and game discussion. Parties and clans are especially useful in Annihilation and MineZ, where coordination can decide whether a group survives or wins.
Unfair modifications, macros, exploits, automated clicking, entity radar, chest radar, x-ray tools, harassment, hate speech, spam, and impersonation are prohibited. Annihilation has extra rules covering alternate accounts, kill farming, cross-teaming, stream sniping, and disruptive obstruction. MineZ has strict rules for alternate-account use during PvP and dungeon attempts.
The games can be played without paying. The Shotbow store sells premium packages, cosmetics, pets, private-server access, and other digital perks. Premium can also provide an XP multiplier and access to selected features. A legal copy of Minecraft is required.

History of Shotbow
Shotbow was founded in February 2012 by the team behind HCGaming. Its first major success was MineZ, a Minecraft take on the survival horror ideas popularized by DayZ. Players had to manage supplies, avoid zombies, and decide whether strangers were friends or threats.
MineZ's rapid growth led to a larger idea: several original games could share one central lobby. Players could move between modes without disconnecting or sitting through separate loading screens. That linked-network design became one of Shotbow's defining ideas.
Annihilation became the network's major competitive game. Four teams gathered resources, built defenses, chose specialized classes, and attacked enemy Nexuses. Five timed phases gave matches a clear rhythm, moving from preparation to mining, boss fights, and base assaults.
Over time, Shotbow expanded beyond its two best-known games. SMASH brought platform-fighter combat to Minecraft with knockback, double jumps, grabs, weapons, destructible maps, matchmaking, and ranked play. Other projects included GhostCraft, Wasted, Mine Theft Auto, GG, Slaughter, and When in Rogue.
MineZ grew from a harsh open-world survival mode into a deeper adventure with lore, custom loot, legendary items, giants, supply drops, and difficult dungeons. The Pre-Origins era reworked many dungeon systems, added new locations, and expanded the world's hidden story.
Shotbow gradually modernized its server software while keeping the older identity of its games. Annihilation moved from its long-running 1.12 base to 1.16 in 2022, then to 1.20.4 in 2024 and 1.21.10 in February 2026. Duel Mode also gave smaller two-team matches their own format in 2024.
MineZ continued receiving map, dungeon, loot, and balance work through 2025. Desert Canyon Sanctuary was rebuilt, new supply drops were added, Fortune's Favor changed high-level dungeon rewards, and seasonal events such as Wonderland and Spookfest returned.
In 2026, Annihilation received its 1.21.10 update, hosted a tournament, and continued community events. MineZ began testing MineZ: Rebirth on 1.21.10 in August 2026. Shotbow today remains a compact network centered on MineZ, Annihilation, and SMASH.
