History of NightSMP
NightSMP began on July 9, 2023, as a Bedrock Realm founded by Corrupt72. Its early identity centered on Lifesteal gameplay and TPA, giving players a simple survival world with direct player conflict.
During its first era, the server expanded beyond its basic Realm setup. Addons such as Totem Swap, sword blocking, custom recipes, and other gameplay changes gave the Bedrock experience a more customized feel.
By 2024, Night SMP had developed a larger community hub around the game. Discord became the main social space, while the project continued using events and new gameplay additions to keep the server active.
The current nightsmp.com network represents a later Java-focused phase. Its identity moved toward combat-heavy survival, with custom kits, PvP arenas, an economy, leaderboards, raids, and seasonal rewards becoming central parts of the experience.
The network now presents itself as a Java survival PvP server rather than a small Bedrock Realm. Players can cooperate in teams, compete in structured arenas, or take their chances in the wider survival world.
Today, NightSMP is best understood as a large-scale Java SMP for players who want survival building mixed with frequent combat, competition, and social rivalry.
