About Mine in Abyss
Mine in Abyss turns the Abyss into a long-form survival adventure. You begin in Orth, descend through five dangerous layers, hunt strange creatures, collect resources, and try to reach Idofront at the bottom.
What Makes It Different
The server makes vertical travel matter. Going deeper changes the creatures, terrain, resources, and danger, while climbing back up can trigger the Curse of Ascension. It feels closer to a shared expedition than a normal flat survival map.
Adventure servers center Minecraft play on exploring a designed world and completing objectives that lead to new areas, encounters, or story developments.

Start in Orth and follow the marked route into the Abyss. The world is split into five layers, each with its own creatures and hazards. You can explore alone, travel with friends, build a house, join a guild, or work toward the descent to Idofront.
Progress comes from learning each layer and preparing for deeper trips. Bonfires give you custom respawn points, while mob drops can be exchanged for Orth Coins. Those coins unlock useful trades with villagers in Orth. Relics, custom recipes, orespawns, and layer-specific resources add longer-term goals.
Custom content includes the Curse of Ascension, wall climbing with stamina and dashes, custom mobs and animals, relics, orespawns, custom recipes, cosmetics, brewing, Ghost Seek, and special respawn bonfires. The optional modpack improves performance, render distance, and quality-of-life features.
The main world is a vertical recreation of the Abyss, with five layers and more than 7,000 blocks of depth. Orth is the starting city, while Idofront is the major destination at the bottom. Separate build and archive servers provide creative construction and access to older survival maps.
The survival server is not built around raiding or unrestricted player conflict. Griefing, raiding, stealing, and repeated killing are prohibited, so the main danger comes from the Abyss, hostile creatures, falls, water hazards, and the Curse of Ascension.
Orth Coins are the main documented currency. Players earn them by trading mob drops with currency villagers in Orth, then spend them with other villagers for items and supplies.
Mine in Abyss is community-run, with an active Discord, player guilds, shared builds, staff contact channels, and a separate build server for approved construction work. The project also publishes much of its custom code publicly.
Use a legitimate Minecraft account. Cracked accounts are not allowed. Do not grief, raid, steal, or repeatedly kill players on the survival server. Forbidden client mods can result in bans, and downloading the official map is not permitted.
The server is free to play with a Minecraft account. Community donations through Patreon and Ko-fi help cover server costs and tools used for building the Abyss.

The Mine in Abyss project community was established by November 29, 2017, built around recreating the world of Made in Abyss inside Minecraft. Its goal was never just to copy the scenery. The project aimed to make the Abyss itself playable.
