GermanSMP.de is a German Minecraft network built around three different ways to play. Survival focuses on building, trading and long-term progression. Hardcore removes most safety nets and turns the world into a fight for territory and resources. CityBuild gives players protected plots for creative building.
The network mixes familiar survival with a large collection of extras. Players can use in-game voice chat, decorate bases with furniture, collect plushies, follow quests, work jobs and develop skills. The biggest choice is safety: Survival and CityBuild are structured and protected, while Hardcore is deliberately risky.
What Makes It Different
GermanSMP puts three very different experiences behind one connection. You can build safely in Survival, claim a plot in CityBuild or risk everything in Hardcore. Its in-game voice chat and large furniture and plushie collections make the network feel more social and personal than a basic survival server.
CityBuild is a Minecraft building mode where players develop homes, businesses, and public spaces into connected urban districts.

Survival progression includes seven skills, jobs, more than 1,000 quests, minions, homes and more than 100 enchantments. Players can earn money through work, trading and other server activities. Flight time and other perks can also be obtained through voting or in-game currency.
Custom content includes more than 100 enchantments, seven skills, minions, furniture and collectible plushies. The decorative systems are especially useful for players who enjoy making a base feel personal rather than purely functional.
GermanSMP uses separate worlds for Survival, Hardcore and CityBuild. Survival is built for protected bases and long-term development. Hardcore is open and dangerous. CityBuild uses organized plots for building in a town-like setting.
PvP is disabled in the main Survival world. Hardcore allows PvP across the world and also permits griefing and scamming. A separate PvP arena provides a place to fight without putting ordinary survival progress at risk.
The network has an in-game economy supported by jobs, player trading, user shops and server shops. Smart hoppers and other automation tools help players manage farms and resources. Voting and in-game coins can be used for some extras.
Weekend events and prize-focused activities are part of the network's event offering. Community giveaways have also been promoted alongside the regular game modes.
German is the main community language. In-game voice chat allows players to talk directly while playing, and the Discord community provides a place for updates, support and discussion.
The network sells ranks, rank upgrades, crates, loot boxes, coins, kits, cosmetics, extras, and boosters across its game modes. Purchases help fund server operation and updates.

History of GermanSMP.de
GermanSMP was established in 2022 as a German Minecraft network operated from Kassel, Hesse. Its Discord community followed on November 16, 2022, giving the network a dedicated social home as its identity took shape.
From the beginning, GermanSMP was built around several distinct ways to play. Survival formed the stable foundation, while a DonutSMP-style Hardcore world introduced a more dangerous alternative. CityBuild added a separate, plot-based building experience instead of applying one ruleset across the entire network.
Survival gradually became the safer long-term mode. Claims protected players' builds, while an economy, jobs, skills and quests created progression beyond ordinary resource gathering. Homes, minions and enhanced enchantments expanded that progression with additional tools and goals.
Hardcore served as the network's sharper contrast. PvP, griefing and scamming were part of its riskier environment, making losses and encounters more consequential. CityBuild, by comparison, focused on plots and construction without requiring ordinary land claims.
As the network developed, custom content became a larger part of its identity. Hundreds of furniture items and more than 100 collectible plushies gave players new ways to decorate, collect and personalize their spaces. In-game voice chat also strengthened the social side of play without requiring players to leave Minecraft.
The network expanded its accessibility across editions. Java players connect through germansmp.de, while Bedrock players use port 19132. Its compatibility has continued through the 1.21-era client range, allowing the established modes and custom systems to remain available to current players.
GermanSMP also developed a store-supported ecosystem containing ranks, upgrades, crates, loot boxes, coins, kits, cosmetics, extras and boosters. These offerings accompany the network's different modes and provide optional ways to expand a player's experience.
Today, GermanSMP remains a multi-mode network centered on Survival, Hardcore, CityBuild and Factions-related gameplay. Its current identity combines protected long-term building, competitive risk, social features and extensive custom content across Java and Bedrock access.
