History of KatipunanSMP
The Katipunan SMP community began on July 2, 2022, with the creation of its associated Discord community. This provided the starting point for a Filipino multiplayer community centered on Minecraft.
The server itself appears in the earliest dated public registration from August 1, 2024. By this stage, KatipunanSMP had taken shape as a shared environment for Java and Bedrock players.
Its gameplay developed around a mix of survival, PvP, war, and roleplay. This combination gave the server both an open-ended survival foundation and organized ways for players to compete, cooperate, and create stories together.
Progression and community activity were expanded through McMMO, jobs, an economy, teams, and regular events. Homes and teleport requests supported everyday multiplayer play, while voting and crates added additional server activities.
Java voice chat became part of the server’s custom content, alongside its broader social and gameplay systems. These additions reinforced KatipunanSMP’s identity as a community-focused multiplayer server rather than a purely standard survival world.
In its current form, KatipunanSMP continues to combine survival gameplay with PvP, war, roleplay, progression, and community events. Public server profiles identify it with UniverseSpigot 26.2 and support for 1.21-era clients, while beta and preview versions are not supported.
